Rather than bog down sombody elses thread with non related info i figured i start one here.
True Protein is a great company that has the best supplements around , they don't advertise or over hype a bunch of garbage and they actualy produce protein blends for alot of the bog name companies that you pay 100% more because of their name.

they have every protein type you can imagine or will ever need and they will blend proteins to match your needs and wants , you can even have them add in differant types of carb sources from very fast acting to slow action or add in differant fat sources , anything you need to have put into one powder to keep from having a ton of jugs on top of the fridge. You can get it flavored is about any thing you want from exotic fruit flavors to a bunch of chocolate, peanutbutter and things liek that , you can have amino acids added , digestive enzimes and so on. You can order from 1 pound on up incriments , you can get your protein unflavored and just buy their flavor packs so you can swap up the varity.
My personal favorite is the "team Skip" blend , its a great tri blend of proteins that will keep the body in a positive balance for several hrs where whey is gone in just an hr or so , I use the premioum chocolate peanutbutter cup with Stevia as a sweetener and protease digestive enzime to help with protein digestion and absorbtion

Ive been taking their 5HTP formula the last few weeks as an anti oxident and it has realy improved my sleep and recovery especialy during contest diet and training when the calories are reduced the they training is very taxing .found here

JJones, I have a protein question. I am eating extremely clean trying to reduce my body fat by about 20 pounds to let these abs show through and allow me to move a bit quicker. I am eating 100% home made food with as few ingredients as possible (nothing processed) and my ratios are 50/25/25 for pro, carb, fats. I do take supplements but there is one thing I have a concern of. My protein has no carbs in them or just a couple grams (pro complex and on casien) but they keep them tasty with Sucralose. I take half serving of Pro Complex in the morning and two scoops of the On Casein which is two servings at about 8:30 PM, about two hours before bed. Should I be worried or concerned about the Sucralose as I am going for a low to now sugar (incidental) clean unprocessed diet.

I'm really interested in this protein company because you can mix and match. The crap I buy from GNC is expensive too. I'll probably be switching over. What do you think about the sucralose?

Sucralose as well as maltodextrin will cause an insulin response more so than products sweetened with Stevia or aspertain (sp) but unless your striving for a diet that puts your body into ketosis or forces it to burn protein to make glucose then i would not be concerned with it at all and seeing that your diet does have carbs factored in its not a problem.
The "Team Skip" mixture i use i have sweetened with stevia specificaly because i do use a keto style diet somtimes and i don't want any unseen factors causing a problem. Also , this is a tri blend having Whey isolate , Egg white and casine all in the same serving so you get a nice evensteady amount of protein fed into the system over several hrs keeping the body in a nitrogen rich state from meal to meal rather than just an hr of so like would happen with just whey isolate , also a larger Whey shake m, say 50+g will cause the body to have an insulin spike simply because it is digested and absorbed so fast , this is another reason i use the tri blend

For your nightime protein serving try cutting the procomplex out and use just the casine , 50g worth and add a serving of natural peanutbutter or almond butter to it , the fat will totaly negate any insulin response that the very small amout of sweetener may have and it will slow the digestion a little bit more also

Just about any place is gonna be cheaper to buy anything than GNC , their markup is retarded high. True Protein's cost is good and their product is great , never anything but what they advertise , alot of "whey" that your buy has more when concentrate in it than whey isolate because the isolate is so much more expensive to produce so they cut the product and buffer it with a cheaper for of whey.
Whey concentrate gives me horendus gas within 20-30 min of taking it in so i know when i have gotten inferior product.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I only take the pro complex in the a.m. and post workout. I have been doing 50g of the casein at 8:30p.m. with a tablespoon of natty PB. I'll look to switching to this true protein also from now on out.

I'm gonna jump in here and back this guys claims up as well.

I've been training pretty hardcore since 1999 and I've tried 100's of different protiens through the years and wasted countless dollars on junk shit in a bucket. I discovere TrueProtien.com a while back and I'll never use anything else as long as they continue producing the quality product that they are now.

The average consumer has no idea what they are NOT GETTING in their jug of big name/high priced protien. Just because the shit is printed on the side of the container does NOT mean/guarantee that's what's in the bucket. That's merely what's supposed to be in there when the original label outlines were created. When the deal actually gets done and it comes time for the company to pay the manufacturer for the product, things DO get changed in order to cut overall costs. Your drinking filler....and all you people backing Optimum Nutrition saying how good it is....they are one of the documented offenders. Back in the late 90's and early 2000's that ON shit had so much filler in it after you ran it through a blender you could see the white pieces floating on the top of the shake!! If you want to call bullshit on it, just do a google search on it. There's documented reports where they tried to get multiple manufacturers to change the blend after the labels were created so the product would contain less protien and cut costs.

Anyway....TrueProtien.com is the shit!! They offer a superior product at a rock bottom price. Nowhere else (that I know of) can you get a custom mix/blend made specifically for you and there are no minimum amounts to order. I haven't had a bad flavor yet and I've tried about 8 of them. I order 6 pounds of a morning/night blend that I make up and also 10 pounds of a post workout blend. You owe it to yourself and your wallet to give them a try.

I just ordered the 25 lb one and I'm going to give it a shot. I passed on the packets, as taste isn't a big deal for me, and I have honey and lots of other crap I can throw in it if I have to.

I was blown away by all the choices of products. I want to try so many, but I'm just shaky on the menu. So many decisions.

I'll see how the protein goes and probably try some other stuff later.

Ever since i found True Protien i havnt bought a supplement from anyone else....

Been using There protien, potato starch for pre and post workout shakes, and different amino combinations

Been using it for 3 weeks now, and I like it. Specifically, I like their recovery formula. I was constantly sore, it seems to really be helping. I'm also using the pre-workout formula, and it's OK. I might like superpump 250 a bit better.

I saw this post and ordered some. I did not ad any sweeteners because I have been staying away from sugars all together. I went with beef protein, egg white protein, BCAAs and Flax powder.

I just mixed some up and I am pretty sure its the worst thing I have ever tasted. I even added a banana and its still nasty as hell.

I'm not surprised. The list of stuff that is in it sounds like there is no way in hell it should taste like anything other than powdered shit.

One banana can't fix that.

Yeaaaaaaah...I just got my order in the other day and tried it out - tastes like shit! I'll be dumping the three pounds (almost $40 worth) down the drain later today; it's so bad, one of the girls at the gym where I work almost puked after trying it.

I'll be sticking to BSN Syntha 6...

what was bad about the taste??
you hav to look at the difference between Syntha-6 and what you bought , they have alot of added carbs and fats their , it's alot easier to add things like this and dramatically improve taste (Syntha-6 is awesome tasting)

Well every whey I have used gives me gas some way more than others , typically the better Whey isolates arn't as bad , whey concentrate is real bad and sone like Myofusion makes me feel like I ate some bad Mexican food!!

the 100% Whey gold from ON isint to bad oddly enough the Hydro Whey which is said to be their most pure is way worse than the regular gold. ON makes good products and are very reasonably priced.

I use True Protein (true nutrition now) Eggwhite , casine and LBA's as my primary protein supplements , I find that I like their taste better , I like their customer service better , I like being able to add things to my powder and blend them as needed.

I just ordered some True Nutrition custom blended to try , 25% Egg White ,45% Whey Protein Isolate,25% Med.Triglycerides, 5% Maltodexterin @ 4ea. 30g to 16oz water servings a day
Just adding suppliments to my diet , not a gym freak..
Been on it for the last several days and I can tell I feel alot better and more energetic , I am also lactose intolerant and this has not messed with my stomach yet either


and it tastes OK unsweetened which really surprised me

Is it the best tasting stuff, maybe not, is it a quality product, yes.

pay the extra $.75 and get a premium flavor , no need to double the flavor or anything the chocolate peanutbutter cup and chocolate coconut is great , also get a bottle of LBA's , it's a liquid protein made from hydrolyzed beef collogen the chocolate makes a great addition to anything you would add hershys syrup to and a little bit goes a LONG way a couple tablespoons in just about any chocolate flavored protein dramatically helps with taste

Ordered the creatine, 2# breakfast blend, and 2# of the whey isolate - both in Vanilla/Stevia flavor. I'll post a report next week once it arrives.

Great post JJones. I got introduced to True Protein by a training partner some time ago and have not looked for another powder since. The quality is excellent and I find it much easier to digest with far less of the pleasantries other powders plagued me with.
