Seen this on the web page and was going to buy tickets last night till my sister stop over. Going to pick up a couple now. Thanks for the hard work and putting this together.

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

Dang, the Larue Multigun is the weekend before, so I may not make it, but I got 4 tickets anyway! Hope to be there.

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

I've read that vendors will be set up for sales which included weapons. How about accessories? I'd like to get the craptastic flash hider off my AR and possibly get the SilencerCo Trifecta anyone happen to know if they'll be selling them there?

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

Any idea on what the expected turn out of people is going to be? Also, do you have to be present to win the raffle prize if your name is drawn?

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

I was just going to post about the Silencers are Legal shoot, but glad to see that you beat me to it Scott. Bump it up to the top and see you there.

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

Word on other forums, its expected to be about 2000, Ive never been to this range and hope to go, but from what Im reading its not big enough for half that amount of people.

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

I'll be there, and yes the range is no where big enough to hold 2000, few hundred maybe. Depends if they expand it to the shotgun range or not.

At the shoot now, came at open. There are alot of people, but this is very well organized. It's not a clusterfuck at all, got to demo a bunch of cans. Thanks to everybody that set it up and contributed prizes! Here's hoping I get a call about the raffle.

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

This was a good event and was well organized. It was a bigger event than I anticipated. Very nice facility and really appreciated the free cold bottled water available to everyone.

Talked to Zak Smith and was very impressed with his Thunder Beast cans. I own a dozen suppressors but none of his. The construction of Zak's cans is top notch.

Spoke to Shark and was also very impressed with the construction of those cans.

Shot a variety of 22 cans from Liberty, Tactical Solutions and Thomson Machine. The guys at Thomson Machine are good people making an excellent product at a good price.

A lot of prizes in the raffle including numerous cans, a few rifles, some scopes and other accessories.

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

The shoot was VERY well organized and VERY well attended!!

Really enjoyed getting to talk to so many suppressor owners and future suppressor owners.

A lot of peeps were excited in the recent change in Texas that now allows the use of suppressors for hunting game animals.

The last 4 pics in the group above show are from our tables.

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

I have to agree with the guys above, the shoot was done really well and is was great to meet the manufacturers and so many people interested in all the cool products out there.
I was there representing SAW Inc. a stocking dealer for several manufacturers in the Dallas area.
We had a good time talking to everyone that came by look forward to the next one!!

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

Thanks to all the vendors for setting this up. It was awesome to see and hear so many cans at one time. I had a great time and know I'm going to be broke from buying some new products!

That AI you guys had set up there was ridiculously sweet. I hadn't see one in person before and I gotta say....that was a big ass gun.

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

I have around 75 pics from the shoot I am going to be posting tomorrow, here is the new rifle from Stalking Rhino Industries, it is called a Tomahawk, built on a Savage .22, integrally suppressed rifle. Its unreal how light this rifle is, even with the scope and bi-pod.

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

I thought this was a very informative event. It was nice to lay hands on some actual products and even try some stuff out. I wish I would have known more about the event though, so I could have planned my day better. For instance, for $20 you could shoot a wide array of Gem-Tech suppressors (although the line was pretty long). Other vendors had suppressed weapons available to shoot (I think with AAC you had to provide your own ammo and I didn't have any with me). It was more of a come and go event (like a gun show or trade show) without any "shows at the show" so-to-speak. Was totally worth going though, given my lack of experience with these products and it was nice to see actual products and put faces with names of retailers I've done business or corresponded with.

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

I had 2 tickets and planned to go but had to back out last minute. Sounds like I missed a good time. Did anyone here win anything in the raffle? They had some really nice prizes for only $10 a ticket.

Re: SILENCERS ARE LEGAL SHOOT (DALLAS)

I had a great time with the Texas crew. Plus it was the first time for the folks that came to see and shoot the new Surefire SOCOM556-RC and SOCOM762-RC. Thanks for everyone that came out.

I felt the same way. When I first got there I was felt like I was wandering aimlessly. I wasn't sure where to go, what to do or how to do it.
They had a trailer setup selling ammo, it seemed to be a little over priced, But I purchased 2 boxes of .223 a box of .45ACP and a box of 9mm. I didn't end up using any of it.
Gem-Tech probably had the best setup for this type of event. Pay $20 get a water bottle full of different ammo and they provide the guns.
I noticed Surefire and some other guys down the line but I wasn't sure how to go about using their guns or products. Another group of guys had the .50BMG setup near Surefire and for $5 you could take a shot.

I seen some people set up across from the firing line that had prices per round but didn't look in to what they were offering.
Then later in the day I seen them on the fullauto line with what looked to be a Glock 18. That's a bad ass gun. I'd rather shoot one without the stock attached but yeah.
If they were giving people a chance to fire their guns for the price of the ammo that would have been a nice setup as well.

The event was pretty cool and for it being the first event of it's kind, I think it went well. Next time I'll know more about what to bring and where to go.
