Re: M!D barels
Just an added 2 pennies here.Years ago I took an M1 barrel and had it turned down to accept one of those Numrich $12.00 scope blocks. The machine shop did a wonderfull job turning the barrel.No flaws there. BUT when the block was installed and pinned,I attempted to sight the rifle in at a 500 yard target. Had to adjust the scope all the way up and the best it would do was hit dirt about 75 yards out. Those repro barrel blocks are not machined "true",,and yes,I did check it against my several original D barrels I had at the time. YMMV
