Question on .338LM chamber dimensions new build

Posted this in ER Long range but didn't get a response. Hoping someone here my have some experience.

Working on a build based on the Sako TRG M995. Looking to shoot the Berger 300 hybrid and going to have a reamer made but a few questions if anyone has any insight.

1. Can a 300g bullet be loaded up into the neck, and still fit a TRG mag?

2. Same question for the 250g

3. Recommendations on chamber dimensions for 338LM.

4. Wondering if I chamber it for the 300 grain if I'll still be OK shooting lighter bullets?

Can I ask what you found out. Im in the same situation right now. Im building a 338lm with a surgeon 1581xl and a kreiger mtu barrel and i want to shoot the berger vld's also, but i dont know what to tell my gunsmith to make the chamber to. i dont want to be able to only shoot the bergers.

I would suggest talking to Dave Kiff at PT&G. I'm getting ready to rebarrel my 110BA 338LM and I run a CIP style mag. He designed me a reamer with a FB to run the new Bergers at the lands or just off and the Sierra's just off the lands and still load from my mag for both 300 and 250's. You will need to furnish him some load dimensions from some dummy rounds.

Thanks 402. Basically what Moon said. Except I will probably have to single feed if I seat out in the neck. I just need to build the dummy and see what happens. Good thing is I can still shoot down so when I'm shooting hogs I can load up the mag. LOL, can't justify shooting anything else in NA with the thing.
