That's not always the case, and I'd know since I work as a Bouncer at the worlds only vegan strip club. About 15% of the girls are vegan and they are pretty hot.

I think it would be hilarious to see ads to join the local or state police. The hose jockeys would love that.

Police officers were put on the planet so that Firemen could have heroes, too.

Cheers,

Sirhr

PS... just kidding. I have great respect for 'foundation savers.'

Re: Cash strapped city putting ads on fire trucks?

There was an article in the local paper a couple years ago about a company that sells brand-new decked out police cruisers for only $1 each. The catch was that the cruisers would have advertising on them. The city was considering the option for upgrading the entire fleet.

They ended up rejecting the idea.

Re: Cash strapped city putting ads on fire trucks?

There was a story on the local news the other night that was talking about putting advertising on school buses to help with the lack of funding. I think it's a great idea to help with all the teachers that have been let go due to budget cuts.

Re: Cash strapped city putting ads on fire trucks?

The only problem I see with this is that the city should accept money from any legal entity to be fair, regardless of political stance. If a strip club operates in the area, let them advertise just like soda products. It goes back to Bank of America accepting bail out funds and selectively doing business based on anti-gun stances. As a private entity, fair game, but as a tax payer based community, let all business advertise.

Yes, because nothing will endear the FD to the ?good? people of Baltimore like seeing some camel toe and titties while their grandmother is wheeled passed the ad en route to the ambulance.

Seriously? BoA has nothing to do with this. The city has to have at least a modicum of decency in the ads it chooses. The ads will be a reflection of the city.

It even gets tricky in case there is a similarity in the ads and the common theme of service, i.e. a security alarm company advertising on a Police Cruiser. So many security companies deck out their cars to look like quasi-cruisers that that could lead to a full on shoot out if someone thinks the Baltimore PD showing up is some rent-a-cop joke.

Just because the city sucks at budgeting doesn't mean they should maintain head in ass because they need to make a few bucks.

Well there ya go, put trojan ads on the school bus. Hehe.

Re: Cash strapped city putting ads on fire trucks?

Here in town we use a private contractor for our school bus service and all of those busses have adds on them. Most of them are radio stations restaurants. A few construction companies. I am sure someone bitches about it but they are clean adds so I am fine with it.

That girl might not like meat but she sure likes the bone.

Keep your job at the price of your dignity... hmmm, tough call. It's nice to see ideas coming out to save jobs and keep communities safely staffed, but its sad to resort to this.

Re: Cash strapped city putting ads on fire trucks?

It's ironic that the very same business smothering, tax and spend, parasite creating, permanent government class, types would consider advertising on municipal vehicles.

When business people seek profit, efficiency, productivity, etc., in order to grow their enterprises they are dismissively called greedy. When the burgeoning government class seeks to protect and enhance their gigs, it is always for the good of mankind...

Cut, slash, fire. Another great way to solve fiscal shortfalls is to eliminate the parasitism, waste and fraud that causes it.
