Gunsmithing 700 SA / MCS-T / CDI dbm feeding problem

I just bedded my 700 action into a MCS-T stock with a CDI dbm. The problem is with my Alpha type 1 mags, the lip of the feed ramp hangs over the front of the mag by maybe 1/32". This causes the tip of the ammo to get caught under the feed ramp fairly often.

What is strange is that the action was bedded to the stock perfectly aligned with the pillars which were pre-installed in the stock (very carefully wrapped tape around mock action screws so the action didn't move before bedding), and the cdi aligns perfectly with the pillars as well. And the dbm fits the inlet just fine as well.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

The standard fix is a small half-circle notch taken out of the feedramp to allow the rounds to come all the way up. It can be done with a mill (cleanest) or even a dremel

Don't have any myself, next time I'm out I'll see if I can borrow one from someone and try it.

But as an additional note, the Alpha type 1s worked fine in a previous stock, with an Atlasworks DBM. Never had a problem feeding.

I thought about setting the inlet back a smidge, but I thought that would put stress on the action screws - and the bottom metal.

Hmm, I guess I'll notch the feed ramp, just seems odd that it doesn't line up. I mean just a hair off maybe, but not as much as it is.
