Nighthawk leather holsters are supposed to be good to go. I built my own kydex holster for my GRP Recon using kydex. I guess it depends on your application. Concealed carry? On duty use? Competition?
I should be getting my Nighthawk Companion any day now for mine, ill post as soon as it comes in. I have a Mernickle that was made for a TRP Operator that I have been using, it works well.

I would sure as hell hope so, since they're for their own guns.
Still waiting on mine, appearantly they lost my order, Tim said they would put a rush on it and get it sent next week. I hope so, since he took my original order.
B.A. Custom Kydex has a railed 1911 in their line up of pistols that they could make a holster from. Similar to the Raven holsters but without the extensive wait.
Since ive been waiting on my custom holster ive used a few 1911 holster i have in the ol holster box just to get some good training in. I have a galco, mernickle, blackhawk and a misc kydex and the sights are not an issue with any of them. I have the AAC too with the tall heinie sights. Think your safe.
Okay, just got my Nighthawk holster in the mail... Un believable customer service. Wow! Really nice leather, good quality and fits the gun perfectly. It does need some break in and the leather seems to be a bit close to the front sight but so far i am very pleased, ill take some pics this weekend
Sorry been busy and didn't respond. Blackhawk Level 2 Tactical SERPA Holster, its what I had in my Sig 220 for a long time, but I sold the 220 a while ago. I am not digging the vest holster anymore due to my slings and my rifles smacking the handgun on the move.
After much looking and hunting I selected to use for a thigh rig, High Speed Gear, Inc. for my Nighthawk AAC 9mm with threaded barrel. The light is a Surefire x300, and the holster works flawlessly. It doesn't weigh hardly anything so it doesn't feel like a backpack on my leg.
I have a Bravo Concealment Holster (hip) heading in as well, that I will wear more often probably. But this thigh rig is just absolutely perfect.
