Recently just bought a almost new Rem 700 .300 win mag 5R, went to the range today and after my first shot when extracting the cartridge the bolt pulled out extremely hard to eject. I looked over the brass and didn't notice anything wrong with it. I fired 3 more times and on all occasions the same thing happened.
When I got home I cleaned the barrel and noticed what looked like small pieces of copper? Is this normal, never seen it before. The bolt ejects new live rounds perfect but fired brass has a hard time ejecting. I compared the new rounds to the fired and seemed the neck diameter was slightly larger after firing. Would this effect it to the extent of not being able to eject the round? Any possible causes or things I can do to fix.
I was shooting Remington Core-lokt 180 Grain PSP
