I just found this on my android. Its a ballistics calculator for your phone. Just wondering if anyone has used it, and how accurate is it?

Re: Anyone use strelok?

It is what i use on my droid over here, it lets you pre-load different weapon systems and loads so you can flip through and choose the combo you have for the day. Great free app!

Re: Anyone use strelok?

I use it and for being free it works great. Normally is pretty accurate and as mentioned you can pre load weapon data so when you have that weapon out just select it and enter the data for distance wind and such and ready to go.

There are better ones out there but Strelok is free so...

Re: Anyone use strelok?

I use it and it is free but he does have a donation set up if you care to. I've found that with correct inputs I am within 1 click of dead on out to 1000yds. I have a Wotac scope on a Swiss K31 so I sent him the specs and photo of the retical. He added the scope stuff in 3 days. I doubled his 10.00 donation. It is worth much more.

Re: Anyone use strelok?

I too use Strelok cause its free, I considered Shooter since so many here use it but never ponied up the cash for it. I think its pretty accurate. Anyone here have used both and can make a comparison?

Re: Anyone use strelok?

I just got strelok the other day but haven't used it yet. I am looking forward to using it and will let you guys know how it does once I put it through its paces.

Re: Anyone use strelok?

I wondered about this, I use ISNIPE from my IPod.

Re: Anyone use strelok?

I use strelok. It has the Sightron LRMOA reticle and the holdover calculations are dead on when used with my 338 Lapua.

Re: Anyone use strelok?

saintsfire, I have both and they are usually within 1 click of each other.

Re: Anyone use strelok?

I have used Strelok a lot for my rifles and my buddies rifles. If I input everything accurately 1st round hits on an 8 itch gong are occasional. Really is a great free program. I have also used the holders overs with pretty good luck. Could usually get a torso hit using the holdover function.

Re: Anyone use strelok?

I use Strelok and have found that is right on the money out to 700yrds with my Remington. 308 and i like the reticle options that are available.

Re: Anyone use strelok?

I use it and I have no complaints. It seems to be accurate enough for the purposes I'm using it for. It has gotten me on target everytime I've tried it out to 300 yds. Granted thats not very far but the best thing for me was the price. You can't beat free.

Re: Anyone use strelok?

My question is, what do you input for bullet speed change percentage with change in temperature? I have always left this part blank. But, out to 400 yard with my .308 it was a little low. After I chronoed my rounds, I realized I was at least 50 fps slower than I put in the calculator. It was only 1/2 moa off though still.

Re: Anyone use strelok?

In my experience strelok hasnt been very accurate. but i recently switched to the nosler ballistics app and it has performed perfectly. Using a .260 Remington we had first round hits at 750 and 900 yards. The app doesn't function past 1000 yds but other than that i love it.

Re: Anyone use strelok?

I have both as well. They are usually very close to each other. I prefer shooter because it has the preloaded bullet data, will automatically contact the nearest weather station for environmental data, and has the mil-calculator built in. Plus it's only $10, which I felt was well worth the added features. Strelok is plenty accurate though, and I like the reticle hold overs. Plus I hear his support is excellent. I keep both on my phone anyway.

I actually bought Shooter so I could use the G7 BC with my Berger VLD's. Shooter is way more flexible on the BC.
