Could not stop Trappy!

Enjoy the video, this guy even went so far as to post a post on a huge RC website denouncing Trappy for flying in the GC but many others have, they just had it out for this guy because he had the balls to circle the statue of liberty in this post 9/11 paranoia...

Re: Wanna be park ranger at Grand Canyon

Great video but I have a problem with the ending and the park rangers on a power trip. This police state shit has got to go.

Re: Wanna be park ranger at Grand Canyon

I fought tooth and nail, spoke with head dickhead and he promised to call me back after he made a decision. I hold people to expectations. I ended that call with "OK So I will hear from you within a week then right?" - he never called.

They offered Trappy a chance to go to trial but warned he could go to jail if he showed back up and went to trial.

It's not illegal to fly but now they could push the whole animal thing since it's politically correct with libtards.

Totally ridiculous. It's as if they just have to control something so they go out and look for any idiotic thing that they can step on with their jackboots. Anyway, love the video. Gives a view of the GC that you'd never see otherwise.

Re: Wanna be park ranger at Grand Canyon

I agree with the objection to jackbooted thuggery, but I can also see the parks objection to this. One of the most amazeing things Ive done was to hike from the North Rim, to the river and back. The tranquility is just overwhelming, and I wouldnt want to be annoyed by some clown flying an RC, or by the jusnk of its wreckage. Seems there should be some sort of compromise allowing flying them at certain times only. Some rules are there for good reason.

BTW, if you havent hiked the canyon, its something that should be done. In fact its one of the things I recommend to visitors to our country.

The issue become one of volume. Some activities need to be controlled. There should be a few days a year when the public can fly RC's from certain zones. That would mitigate the risks and potential nuisance.

I've worked with RC's on many shoots before and if I were on my once in a lifetime trip to the GC I would not want you buzzing my head all day. RC heli's are pretty annoying.
