Re: Wilson Combat Ar-15 Super Sniper

it says SUPER sniper, it must be good

wilson makes nice stuff i'm sure you can't go wrong. although high caliber sales on here also assembles some bad ass gas guns, as does APA.

Re: Wilson Combat Ar-15 Super Sniper

I like wilson's stuff but the cost of that rifle seems high unless I'm missing something. I guess being super costs more.

Re: Wilson Combat Ar-15 Super Sniper

If it comes with the "Smoked Pmag" in the photo that's apparently a $400 value, lol...

Re: Wilson Combat Ar-15 Super Sniper

I have been running a 6.8 from them for almost 3 years
Got a 5.56 upper last summer to match (16" fluted barrel)
Guns run great, my favorite AR trigger, NP3 coated bold (needed is debateable of course but it runs clean, smooth and min maintenance)
I love the TRIM handguard and upgraded my 68 upper to it

Guns are put together well, very tight barrel to receiver fit
Accurate and utterly reliable

Pricey but they are very nicely done

eff me... that went right over my head. I'm always out of the loop around here. I suck at sniper's hide.

Intrigued as well with the Wilson rifle. Another one to consider might be a Les Baer Super Varmint or Super Match. Similar price point and I've heard they are hammers. Don't have any personal experience with one. If you do pick up the Wilson, give us a range report.

I have a WC Recon 5.56 rifle....it's definitely a nice rifle....good fit and finish and accurate as heck but for the cost i wish I would have bought a KAC LPR. I generally build my AR'S and this is the only factory rifle I have....i just don't think you get anything special for the cost....if their billet receiver's weren't extra money i might feel differently but nothing is ambi...etc....

rise from the dead Does any know how good the super sniper barrels shoot.

Actually I purchased that rifle and never handloaded a pet load for it. But I'll say it keep military green tips under 1moa... Once I get the load worked up I'll report back

I love when a very expensive name brand shoots MOA. My Colt LE 6920 M4 would shoot like that which wasn't good enough for me so I put an 18" complete WOA varmint upper with 1 in 7" twist and a Geissele SSA-E trigger and had it fluted by WOA. The first time I shot it with the new upper I shot two times to sight in the scope then shot a 5 shot group with my Sierra 65 gr. Game Kings which was just shy of 1/2" center to center. I then shot another 5 shot group with Sierra 69 gr. Match Kings and this group was very close to 3/8" center to center. Both groups were at 100 yds.

Maybe you missed that I was using military green tip bulk ammo .??? Not match grade 69grn rounds, as its 1-7 twist asks for. With bulk green tips I'd consider that pretty decent.

Super sniper squared seems fitting.
