Not sure how I pulled this off, but I broke the pin that goes through the catch that hooks it into the rifle chassis. I got the right size pin, but it seems the original pin was peened into the hole, so I can't get the new pin in. Has anyone else had to deal with this, and what was your solution? I have no idea how to 'de-peen' the hole without just wrecking the thing.

I've been looking at that Roedale bipod anyway, I might just use this as an excuse.

Re: anyone broken a trg bipod?

Well i'd consult Sako first to see what they can do for you; but I bet you can go at it with a dremel to "de-peen" it without any collateral damage.

Re: anyone broken a trg bipod?

had this happen to mine, just be a man about it and whack the pin out. The peening really doesn't hold the pin in that tight, and more than likely the existing pin in the bipod broke into several pieces(as mine did) and the spring tension is holding those pieces in misalignment, so just get a punch and knock them out, put a new pin and and carry on.

Same thinh happened to me. Called beretta and told em what happened. They sent me a brand new bipod.

Re: anyone broken a trg bipod?

Thanks guys, got a support case started with Beretta, hopefully they do the same for me. I've got the old pin out, the catch piece and spring came out then the sections came out through the middle. If the support option doesn't work out, I'll punch one of the old pieces through the hole and hopefully push the peened material out of the way.

Thanks for everyone's input.
