Sidearms & Scatterguns Winston Custom to match my Sig Scorpion.

When I purchased my Sig Sauer Scorpion I had to have a custom to match it. So I ordered a Model 22 from David. It just arrived today, it's the first Winston to be added to my custom knife collection.

I know that they arent custom, but have you seen the hogue knives that match the grips on these scorpions. Pretty cool.

David Winston makes some great blades. His work is tops and he is a fantastic guy to deal with. His knives are a bit under the radar, but more than a solid value. I really like the ergonomics of his handles. Great pair.

I have Ingrams and Charles May knives and hadn't even heard of David Winston until I did some searching for knife makers simular to the prior mentioned. Come to find out they all know each other well and do fairly similar knives. Here's a pic of some of my Ingrams and Mays with one OLT GP-8 tossed in, third from the left.

I have him notifying me when one of his Bartahatchie Skinners is avaiable. He is not taking custom orders, he builds knives when he has time. Then posts them for sale on the site. A guy can't order a custom knife through him, you have to keep checking back on his site until something catches your eye. Maybe that will change in the future. when it does, I will defiantly have him do a few.
