Originally this company started out in Alaska but have opened another location here in Vegas. I'd like to find a good gun smith in my area so Im asking any of you fellers who live in either state if you have had any work done by them. In the near future I'd like to have a custom gun built with all the parts supplied by me but after reading some horror stories about gun smiths just destroying actions and barrels I'm very wary about sending it to anybody that doesn't have the reputation of the smiths known on this board.

They seem to specialize in lever guns. I have their trigger in my Marlin 336.

Re: Wild West Guns - Alaska and Las Vegas

You might want to contact some of the local Las Vegas shooters for where they get their work done. JFComfort is one I can think of off the top of my head, Chiller is a Mod on here and is also from Vegas.

Tim is good for sure. But Matt Babb is great as well.

Re: Wild West Guns - Alaska and Las Vegas

Thank you 10ring. I'm thinking about a lefty build and wanted to just drop off everything to one of these guys and let them do their thing. I have a .308 in righty but I'm actually a lefty so I wanted to do a comparison of the two. I figure it can't hurt to have one in both configurations so when a buddy wants to go shooting or I want to practice on my weak side.

Matt Babb does great work. He has done some things for me in the past. He is a great guy to visit with and I always enjoy hanging out in his shop.

Tim Arnold aka "Velocity Plus" you are best off avoiding. PM me for the explanation.

Wild West Guns is a big shop, has plenty of staff and machines. I’m pretty sure they will be able to take care of what you need. I haven’t personally been there because they are located on a part of town I usually avoid but I have heard good things from others.
