just finished this one the other day. this model is from W2 tool steel and black canvas micarta. it is wearing the new Crime Scene finish and my Recurve grind line. i hardly ever do this grind because it is a royal pain. each grind line has two distinct curves and getting both sides just right is super frustrating.

that is black hemp wrap. it is primarily aesthetic. i used hemp wrap in the original and the owner of this one asked for it as well. he wanted a black finish with light highlights and a dark handle material. black on black is always a good look to me. this model is meant to have a modern bush knife look to it, so the wrap seemed fitting. it does aid in grip somewhat. it is epoxied in place and gives a bit extra texture in the scallops.
