I have been visiting Robert’s shop as frequently as I can in my quest to learn how to be a gunsmith. However, I wasn’t at the shop while this rifle was built. I just really like this rifle and thought some of you might also enjoy looking at pictures of it. I was at the shop on the day that the owner of this rifle came to pick it up. This rifle looked awesome and performed even better. Robert only shot 3 different loads in this rifle and every single load was ¼ inch or less. He used Norma brass with a federal 215m, and 67.0 grains of Retumbo on all 3 loads. The only thing that changed on each load was the bullet. He used 162 amax, 168 berger vld and 180 berger vld. I don't remember which bullets were being used in the pictures of the groups, but all the bullets shot relatively the same.

WOW! That thing is awesome!! Glad to see how that came together.. I was admiring that stock while I was down there in the shop.. Mr. Gradous sure does build hammers! I can't wait to head back down and build another one with him...

Re: Robert Gradous 7mm Rem Mag

Holy Sh*t, that might be the most awesome rifle I've ever seen. I love my 7 Mag, enough that when I rebarrel Robert is getting a call.

Re: Robert Gradous 7mm Rem Mag

Robert has an uncanny talent when it comes to rifles that will shoot about any bullet or powder combination you put in it. No more excuses when you own one of Robert's rifles. Enjoy your treasure.

Re: Robert Gradous 7mm Rem Mag

robert and i built a 7mmSTW. he did 99% of it bc i was scared id fubar it. but the gun shoots amazing and just got some new glass for it. he is a great guy and knows how to build a nasty rifle. anyone who gets his rifles will be at a loss for words at the precision and accuracy of it.

Ever notice you rarely ever see a used Gradous rifle for sale? If there is one it is gone pretty quickly

Re: Robert Gradous 7mm Rem Mag

Steven Thanks
Iv'e been so busy on the farm since I left Robert's that I haven't had a chance to post about the build. I appreciate you putting up a few pic's & yes the rifle is Awesome...
Robert is definately a master at his trade. I could go on & on but there are lot's of threads on here about his build's. but I would like to say this. When you leave Roberts you know you have met a great smith, But more importantly when you leave there you have made a great friend... Robert is good people and thats hard to come by these day's. I look forward to another build with him in the near future. Thanks again Steve for posting this. I'll put up some more pictures in the next few day's.
