Would this contour be legal, since it's meant to accept a surpressor? I was reading the law and just saw things regarding threaded barrels.

It's not a semi-automatic, center fired, rifle or a pistol capable of accepting a suppressor.
Thread the barrel and either get a brake of your choosing, keep the thread protector on it, or if you really want, run it naked.

As long as the over all length of the firearm is over 26" you will be fine. Anything could be made to accept a supressor, that has no bearing on the legality in this state.

As long as the over all length of the firearm is over 26" you will be fine. Anything could be made to accept a supressor, that has no bearing on the legality in this state.

The only threaded barrels that are not legal to use here in Commiefornia are pistol barrels. If its a semi, it has to be configured correctly. There are no restrictions if its a bolt action, single shot, pump, or lever gun.

Hell you can have threaded pistol barrels too, just need to have a bullet button.

Sounds like you are good to go, too bad the laws there are so FUBAR. I am sure the real criminals really care about all those stupid restrictions.

Yup, when it comes to bolt guns in CA the rules are pretty much the same as every other state: no barrels under 16" and minimum overall length of 26". Things get more complicated with semi-auto centerfire and pistols.

Yeah, I have a few rifles and I'm sending in my 300 win mag to High Caliber Sales (saw them advertise here on the site) and was just checking on the contour. The length won't be a problem, they are going to put a 26.5" Lilja barrel on it. My first rifle that I ever bought was an FAL. I didn't know better at the time, but it didn't even come with the bullet button, but a fixed magazine that I had to top load 10 rounds into. I don't even care for my semi-autos (probably because I don't have a GAP-10... yet), I just love getting behind the bolt rifles... I'd have to admit that this site is good at making spend money! Good thing I have awhile before the interest rate kicks in on my credit card!

Just in case I ever do move away. It's really not that big of a deal, I'd be happy either way. It's what they offer as standard, so I figured why not (unless it was illegal)?
