My town is so small, nobody uses turn signals, everybody knows where you're going.....But I came around a corner last week, and some asshole was riding his bike, no hands, down the middle of the street, TEXTING! Tempted to do the door whack, as I went by, settled on a horn blast.

I don't think it's old age FF. I don't consider myself old and one of my biggest gripes is when you are on the freeway and leave a safe amount of space between you and the vehicle in front of you some jackoff decides he needs to occupy that space. They of course inevitably don't use their turn signal!

We have a lot of jaywalkers in my little college town...plenty of well marked cross walks but they'd rather walk straight lines to their cars. Makes my hind teeth itch.
We had a fatality last year and the irony was the pedestrian was in a damn crosswalk at the time he was hit.

I'm 26 and I have driven company vehicles for a living and let me just say that there are surely some idiots out there. The funny one to me is when I get the green light and accelerate at a normal pace and some guy in his Donk with huge wheels and rasied Chevy Caprice with dual exhaust thinks I am trying to race him just because I have loud exhaust and he floors it in the middle of an intersection ! First off I wouldn't waste my time or gas on your Donk and second intersections are way to bumpy for anything that makes decent power.. Noone is racing you LOSER !!

My only driving related complaint would be the people who know they have to merge due to construction and instead of merging up where they are, they skip way ahead and some dick-face way ahead of the considerate people let's them in, allowing the offender to effectively cut in line. On the rare occasion when I'm in my truck (F-350) I'll block up the open lane while keeping my place in line which forces all the would be cutters to hover behind me but when I'm in my car (tiny 300ZX) I have to let everybody in the world pass. It's a trick I learned from many miles on the highway, watching semi's blocking the merging lane.
My only driving related complaint would be the people who know they have to merge due to construction and instead of merging up where they are, they skip way ahead and some dick-face way ahead of the considerate people let's them in, allowing the offender to effectively cut in line. On the rare occasion when I'm in my truck (F-350) I'll block up the open lane while keeping my place in line which forces all the would be cutters to hover behind me but when I'm in my car (tiny 300ZX) I have to let everybody in the world pass. Now I ask thee, why can't we execute drivers like these sociopaths? And I don't mean Lethal Injection or Coup De Grace type execution: No, I mean, buck shot to the face, tire iron, Hammer, 2x4 bludgeoning quality execution for drivers like this asshole.
Now keep in mind, this was a mere 5 miles south of a terrible accident where 3 cars and a truck were piled up resulting in a 3 mile deep back up of traffic. Why drive carefully after seeing that?

I do that all the time. It pisses me off when there's a wreck or construction, everyone's backed up for miles and waiting, and then some asshat texting drives by to the front of the closed lane to cut in front of people because *their* time is more valuable.

what really pisses me off is when I am running full code lights and siren to a life threatening situation and that jerkoff does not pull to the right becsuse there booming music is so loud that I can hear it over my siren and their windows are tint so dark they cant see me coming. I call their tag in and send them a ticket in the mail and when they come to court they say I did not hear or see them judge.
But my satisfaction is 250.00 fine Yeah
what really pisses me off is when I am running full code lights and siren to a life threatening situation and that jerkoff does not pull to the right becsuse there booming music is so loud that I can hear it over my siren and their windows are tint so dark they cant see me coming. Can't stand when slow poke drivers clutter up the fast/passing lane on the freeway. When I was 16 I bet I was the only teen who HATED driving. I still do. Shame we don't have the Autobahn here because it sure would come in handy to get me places faster.

I hear you. We have an onslaught of new Arab drivers in my area that just don't know how to drive. They refuse to pull over for emergancy vehicles with lights and sirens on. Don't get me started on parking and the whole stay between the lines thing.

I have more fun using hand signals - it is like a lost art, morse code for road if you will. Most folks kinda get the signal for a left - esp if you extend your index finger; but slow / stop, and right turn are a total mystery to my fellow travelers - it's a hoot.
