what makes the rifle chassis better than a traditional stock?

i have been looking at the XLR and AICS. i will get into the difference between the 2 later, for now, this is just a general question about the different system over the traditional stock.

this all started because i want a DBM. i have been reading the threads over the last few weeks and was just thinking about a stock that already has a DBM built in, than i ran across the chassis.

this will be used mostly for range work, but would like to hunt with it as well.

this will go on a 5R 308 with a YHM (in about a year when i get my form back).

Re: question about rifle chassis

as sjshooter said all you have to do is drop in your action, torque it up and off you go.plus the advantage of the dbm built in . no need to bed it, and you can swap out your action for another action of same type in a matter of minutes.

Manners stock with the mini chassis. Best of both worlds!!

Definatly one of the best options if you want a conventional style stock without the hassle of bedding and whatnot!
