Re: best Scope for a Savage 110 BA Lapua .338
As stated above, the scope depends on the application, such as distance, etc. Your budget is also critical.
I currently have mounted a Millet illuminated LRS on my Savage 110 BA. The scope has been on the rifle for almost a year and it has been through 100s of rounds and is holding up fine. It is a relatively inexpensive scope.
This summer I plan to shoot the 1 mile mark when I travel out West. In Florida the longest range we have is 1,000 yards. When I shoot the one mile distance, I will transfer my Nightforce NSX 12-42 to the 110 BA.
Try to get a quality scope in your price range, that can handle the .338 recoil (which is relatively mild due to the weight and muzzle brake). The recoil is more of a push than a hard hit. It will push the gun backwards. I have had the front flip up lens cap come off the gun due to recoil.
Bottom line, almost any quality scope will work if it offers the magnification that you need for your purpose. Have fun.
