The Ram 1500 do not have one. As Tripwire said. this is what you have on that vehicle.
PCV, EVAP, TWC, (41) (5) WUOC, FR, SPK, (62) HO2S, CEC, MIL, (32) EVAP-LDP, EVAP-LDPF, EVAP-PRRV, (32) EVAP-PSOL, EVAP-VC, SPK-CC

I don't think the 2000 model rams came with a Hemi, I had a 2002 V8 without one that I traded for my 2008 V8 that did have one. Traded that for a 2011 that doesn't have a Hemi but has a 6.7L.

Well its been sitting in the yard for almost 5 months now with maybe a tank of fuel run through it. My wife used it for her day to day a couple of days while her charger was in the shop which yielded 8mpg... but she only drove to work, school, her dads, home which are all less than a mile from each other.
Pretty sure gonna go ahead and delete the truck

I can only assume he is talking about the new 4 way cat that is basically a 3 way cat with particulate reduction. Otherwise we would be talking a three way cat for CO, HC, and NOx. The EGR reduces the NOx but it has a side effect of reducing running displacement by adding inert gas to "take up space" in the combustion chamber and not adding to or subtracting from combustion but rather taking up space and allowing a proper air fuel ratio but in smaller proportion in a larger chamber.

That's right typo hit the 4 instead of the 3.The fuel mileage is increased by volumetric factors as you say but also decreases the pumping loss to increase the cruise efficiency.And by keeping combustion temps so low in that range the timing with EGR activated can be increased.

Not really surprised about the mileage you're getting. Sadly the best way to get good reliability out of them seems to be deleting the EGR and regeneration setup and re-flash the ECM. The bad thing about all that is the newer Dodges come with the long warranty and that is all voided when those modifications are done.

Try the PCV. My old '91 Dodge has one, and that screwed up the mpg when it started going out. As others have said. I don't think the 2000 Dodge 1500s have EGR.

No problem. I've heard of 4-way cats for diesel engines, but not for gas motors.
