Believe me, I wanted to but I had to go work on a bar I'm building and didn't get home till about midnight. By that time all I wanted to do was eat and sleep. Had a great time though. I had always wondered about shooting that far with a .22, but wasn't too soure how realistic it was. Next time I'm going for the smaller steels! Lol

Hey Rob, I didn't hit any traffic. I headed back up rt 9. I didn't go strait home, but I would have made great time if I did. Thanks again for the opportunity. Hopefully next time I'll have that new bolt gun I just won off of GB

I wont post the add in case I ridiculously over paid (which I'm fairly confident I didn't for NIB) but it's a Rem 5R. You'll just have to see it to believe it, so you'll just have to invite me to the range again

Saw this thread was gettin down there so I thought I'd revive it and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe happy New Year. Things have been pretty hectic lately so I haven't been around much, but I've been getting out whenever I can. Looking forward to hooking up with you guys soon in 2011!

Best range in the state, in my opinion. Too bad it's so far away from me. It's hard to get there as often as I'd like to. Where in Ct are you?

I live in Prospect now (between Naugatuck and Wtby) but until a few years ago, I lived in Stratford almost all my life. Ledyard's not too bad of a ride if theres no traffic on I-95.
We could probably meet up somewhere around Milford and ride up together.

Just out at Ledyard yesterday. Nice day for the most part with less wind and 38 degrees. Doesn't look like the weather is going to get any better. LOL Whenever you guys want to come up let me know and we will try to get a date set up.

Yesterday wasn't too bad. I took a half day so I could finish my Christmas shopping. Then I decided to take the bike out, probably for the last time this year.I guess I'll finish my shopping today.LOL
I could get out pretty much any time after the first of the year. Let me know what works for you and we'll plan a day.

I'm not familiar with that range, but Winsted is a haul from Bridgeport, isn't it? What do they have for distance there?
When I can't get up to Ledyard with Rob, I usually shoot at High Rock in Naugatuck. It's close by, but only 100 yds.
Looks like it might be getting up into the 40's by the first of the year. If it stays there, it'll make for a great day of shooting. Looking forward to starting the new year off with a bang!

Another CT guy here, checking in from the Vernon area. I shot with Rob01 a long time ago at a range in Lyme, with a new shooter from NY.
Anyways, just got a LR308 and would love to stretch its legs past 100.

I just found/joined the site this week, so I'm checking in. I'm a long time member of Ledyard Sportsman Club. I do a lot of coyote hunting, and some of the farms I hunt offer shots over 400. This place is good to go. A lot of good reading.
Let me know when you guys get together again. I'm at the rifle range pretty often now. I guess I just missed Rob01 the other day. Somebody there told me about this site, so I decided to check it out. I'm hooked, Ledgewood.

Just found this thread and was psyched to see at Connecticut group. I'm trying to find a club/range to get out past 200 yds. Looking at NWCSA, heard they are expanding out almost to 400? Live in Bethany and would love to get a foot in the door up there, or even closer to home, like High Rock.

Need some help from you Connecticut shooters. A friend and I are looking to put on a tactical rimfire match this spring. The big problem is neither of us belong to a club at this time and need a site to host the match. We both shoot at Blue Trails, but they still have too many restrictions. We hope to resolve the membership thing but want to reach out and see if anyone has any thoughts or ideas. The match we have planned would be a blast and hope to pick up a couple sponsors and have a couple prizes. Let me know what you think.

Kevin...Also from Milford. Reading Rifle and Revolver has prone matches in the Summer. They are just north of Boston. They allow F Class shooting. Trying to get in your club, but pretty had too latly! Have a great day.

The last I heard, they hit their membership cap (around 550 members I think), but will still take applications and put you on the wait list. If I can dig it up, I'll PM you the contact info for applications. Other than that we can meet up one weekend and it should be posted on the board in the clubhouse.
