Re: 300WM thru a SDN6
Yeah, Mike Mers suggested the SDN-6 as a replacement for my defective/damaged 762SD. I just got it (8 month wait after F3 and F4 transfers) and shot it on the .300WM this past Sunday.
This is my first 51t can. And I'm not all that happy with the mount. If you don't really torque the shit out of the can, it will slip back a notch and wobble. But when tight, I got excellent accuracy from the .300WM and it did not shoot loose. Mine is a factory 700P with a 26" barrel. One group of 5 had 4 touching at 200 yards (pretty good for me).
After the F3 transfer, we went to the dealer's shop and shot 3 cans side-by-side: new 762SDN-6, old (first gen) Cyclone converted to 18t, and YHM titanium .308 QD. We shot all 3 cans through nearly identical Noveske N6 18" rifles. None of us noticed any difference in sound signature among the 3 - which frankly makes the YHM impressive. I've never been impressed with their stuff before - cheap, big, loud, heavy. But that titanium .308 QD can is nice.
So I only have 10 rounds of .300WM through the SDN-6 and only time will tell.
Suppression is fine - sounds like a .308 through the same can.
In another life, when money is no object and I can get dedicated cans for each gun, I'll get a TBAC.
