Magpul PRS LOP extension

Guys,

I added a PRS stock to my DPMS LR 308, and also added the 3/4 in extension rubber pad to it and the darn thing is still too short for me.

Anybody know of anything else that can be added on to extend the LOP???

Is there something about the PRS that you need over the UBR? The UBR is really better in every way.

PRS LOP adjustability:
10.45 to 11.45 (1 inch)

UBR LOP adjustability:
11.10 to 14.46 (3.36 inches)

So the UBR has a wider adjustment range than the PRS and it can be adjusted longer than the PRS. The UBR also has a storage compartment, QD sling attachment, sling loop, and an adjustable preset for opening the stock to your favorite spot every time.

The PRS has, uhhhh, a cheek rest. And I hate the cheek rest. I've noticed in order to clear the full length of the charging handle, the cheek rest is way too far back. In order to use it with the eye relief of magnified scopes, my head is mostly forward of the cheek rest. This means all the cheek rest does is make an annoying sharp feeling as I am half-on, half-off the cheek rest.

So my suggestion is to sell the PRS and get a UBR unless the cheek rest is a must-have feature and it works for you better than me and almost everyone I know.

I agree with 762, you must be half orangutan. I'm 6ft3 and have mine extended less than a 1/2" from bottomed out. How tall are you or what is your wing span?

If you have to go longer then I guess you could add a slip on limbsaver. Like this guy did.

Thanks for the info on the UBR, I will consider it, although I do use/need a cheek rest since my DPMS has a high upper.

Also thanks for the info on the slip on Limbsaver.That may work

I used the DPMS extender to use my AR15 prs on my 308 AR, it adds 1" to it.

Thats a very clean solution, but as pointed out by someone else, the cheek rest on the PRS is already far back, to the solution will need to be a pad at the back, not this spacer up front.

I may use that spacer though on a standard A2 stock.
