Does anybody else have problems getting the targets to print to the right size? I have been shooting the Tac 50 target and finally decided to measure my circles... the 3/4 group challenge was barely over 1/2" - that's when printed on my printer at 100%

If I print them then copy them at 120%, the circle sizes are correct (for know your limits, they are the proper 1", 3/4", 1/2", 1/4" - and the Cold Bore is 1/2" black center and 1" overall)

Same with the 25 yd 4 position targets...

I can't find the proper 7X size for the 100 and 200 yd Lucky 7 targets so I can double check them also... does anybody know what size they are supposed to be?

I don't want to use these if that's incorrect, but it was the only way to get the sizes to match what was listed on the bottom of the "Printable Targets" page.

Does that sound right to anybody?
They sure look much bigger after shooting them before when everything was smaller...

Re: Rimfire Comp targets...

Just a thought, but may be those were sized small to compensate for the "if it touches the line it's in rule".
For a 3/4" group, the target circle diameter would be 3/4" minus the diameter of the bullet.
Pretty darn close to what you measure.

Re: Rimfire Comp targets...

Well, that could very well be. I just read the sizes listed at the bottom...
Ok, I'll stick to shooting the little fellers (if it ever stops raining).
Thanks !

Re: Rimfire Comp targets...

naw they weren't compensated for the line touching rule (best edge), they were actually made up oversized in the template to compensate for the shrinkage that occurs when putting them in photobucket, downloading them, then printing them. i've printed them from different computers / printers (in laws house, friends house, etc) to test it, it seemed to work ok from other locations.

i originally had problems with the sizes of the targets, but redid them larger in the virgin templates to compensate for the shrinkage.

the 50TRC template as we now know it was actually made up from a guy in australia, looking back in the historical section in the comps section, i found his screen name was SHAZ_AU. oddly i don't even think he shot the comps. he took a few of the ideas we were kicking around and got them better into the target form as he must be some sort of computer dude.

others have had trouble with them too from time to time, but i have no idea other than when printing either change the size, click the "fit to paper" check if you have one, or just by resizing them as you are saving them.

i also updated the link with these measurements:

<span style="font-weight: bold">Lucky 7 100 yard sizes </span>

7X ring....1"
7 ring.....2"
6 ring (oval) 3" wide x 3 1/4" high

<span style="font-weight: bold">Lucky 7 200 yard sizes </span>

7X ring....2"

Heads are 8 3/8" high, 6 1/2" wide
