Remembering you this Memorial Day with my deepest gratitude. May God bless and keep every one of you who died so valiantly for your country and your countrymen.

I’d like to thank you, Soldier, though I did not know your name
You sacrificed so much for all my liberties just the same

You left your home and family for a land so far away
With no guarantee of hope that you’d return again some day

Whether deep in some dark jungle or on burning desert sand,
Or a lonely outpost somewhere in some foreign frightening land

Such danger and privation did you with great courage bear
And my heart breaks just by thinking of the life you laid down there.

But your family still holds you dear, and the sentiment rings true
In the hearts of all Americans…. still free, because of you.

In return for noble service done at your country’s command,
I offer up a prayer that you now sit at God’s right hand.

Re: Thank you, soldiers, for your sacrifice.

Thank all of you who went before me, those of you I served with, and those who now serve. To those of you who did not serve, thank you for the years of support. Without your support, the job would have been more than thankless at times, and not so worth it. Your letters, your children's letters and pictures made every single Christmas and Thanksgiving away from home worht the effort and let all of us know we were truly appreciated for what we were doing.
Thank You All

My most memorial piece of mail was an "Any Solider" letter I received just before Desert Storm.

I still have it in my mementos box and it still puts a catch in my throat.

Salute to the fallen. Heroes all.

Underneath each one of those white crosses or marble tablets lies a bit of the persons whom we've come to be.

Lest we ne'r forget . . .

Re: Thank you, soldiers, for your sacrifice.

Thanks to all past and present veterans, and for the future generations, may your skills be honed but never squandered.

Our country's need for your service will never abate, and our thanks to you all will never suffice.
