School I went to had a hot teacher who took some of the studlier students on occasionally. Was a pretty well-kept secret, and nobody even THOUGHT of reporting it, or that we were being abused.
Bunch of nanny state wussies. I agree that it's a serious blurring of professional ethics, but a crime? Geez.

seriously?? I think we as guys should understand yeah its a crime, but is it the same level as a male targeting a minor girl?? not even close in terms of damage done. honestly if I was a teenage boy and a teacher "prayed" on me, I would have liked it and would have laughed about it as an adult, heck I would probably still brag to my friends. is it a good thing no, would there have been damage to me, yeah maybe just a little in all honesty. back in texas where I grew up in the late 80's and early 90's the cops would have just laughed about such a thing with the biggest thing on their minds is weather I got the deal done in the proper way or not. that is why this kind of thing wasn't heard about then, is because the cops laughed it off back in the day, or most likely the cops never even knew. another factor is the glamorization of the cougar mantra, its cool for a women to be a cougar these days which likely fuels more activity.
now don't mistake this for male praying on young girls we are talking serious potential lasting damage in those cases. those guys need jail time. a female praying on a teenage boy, should loose their job, and maybe some probabtion for first offense. NO JAIL time I say.

One of my cousin's cousins (other side of my cousin's family. Not blood) hooked up with his spanish teacher repeatedly. They ultimately moved in together (post graduation) and had a weird relationship, but cops never got involved. Family never approved due to the age gap but I am confident he wasn't getting taken advantage of.
Now if I had a kid and this happened, hell yeah I'd be pissed. Regardless of what I did when I was younger, I have every intention of holding my kids to a higher standard than I met. It doesn't matter if it is hypocritical. I don't want my kids to be as good as me. I want them to be better.
Now I expect to get a few "easier said than done" and "well you don't know since you don't have a kid" comments and I recognize that. So while I'm dreaming of my future parenthood, I'd like a ferrari, DTA HTI, and a new S&B, haha.

Why do you assume a 16 year old girl would be 'damaged' whereas a 16 year old boy would only be delighted?
Most 16 year old girls I knew when I was 15/16/17 where not the sweet innocents they would have their parents believe.
With my son, my main concern would be the same as it would be for my daughter - health. Was protection used? Was anything bizarre 'done' that would effect their mental health or sexual development as adults.
Looking at human evolution, 16 year olds of either gender are fully primed and ready for sex no there's nothing unnatural about it, just unlawful (in some countries).
Having said that, regardless of her age, I will kill, slowly, painfully and with an imagination that would make a Jesuit Spanish Inquisitor ashamed, any man who touches my daughter (if I had one).
