Its finally time to get some new brass for my 300win mag... I have a shit load of Cabela points the only catch is they dont stock Norma in 300wm. So My question is, is nosler custom brass as good as norma brass?

I bought 50 Nosler 300WM cases last year, on sale from Midway. They sit prepped and primed and unused. But they look great, I would not hesitate to buy more, if I needed them. I didn't really need these, but couldn't resist. Go ahead and buy them. BB

Well this is hearsay but I will tell you what I have heard recently by the rumor mill....its the same brass. Norma makes it for Nosler. I cannot confirm it for fact but there it is. I have owned both brands and judging on the high quality of each the rumor would not surprise me if it turns up fact.

It's probably been 3 or 4 years ago, I called Nosler Tech Support and this is what they told me at that time. The brass I bought was almost exactly the same weight as my Federal brass and I was curious if Federal was making it. The brass was very high quality, within +-.5 gr. and perfectly prepped and ready to drop powder.
Fast forward a year or so... I bought another 4 boxes. Very different story. Brass varied in weight by +-2 ish' gr. and not prepped as well. I called Nosler again and they wouldn't talk about who was making their brass then.
You can call and ask them, but sounds to me like they may not use the same manufacturer all the time, or built their rep on Norma brass and then switched to someone cheaper to maximize profits cuz the stuff sure as hell didn't go *down* in price.

Based on the above, lucky me! Because my cases look as handsome, and as beefy as any Lapua brass I have ever owned. I have not weighed them, but, (of course) I never weigh this caliber. Sounds like a crap shoot though? BB

Same story here. Mine are a slick and uniform as my Lapua or Norma stuff.

Problem solved I just ordered 1000 RWS 300WM from DRT, should be here next week... I know that will be quality brass, it's a shame you can't get top notch brass made in the USA
