Well after much debate, I finally made a decision and went with a new LWRC AR. Luckily for me they just released the first 200 of the new M6A5 SPR rifles, it was an RSR "exclusive". The new m6a5 spr features a two position gas block and lwrc spr forend. This will eventually replace the m6a3 model.

    <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">Rifle Specs:</span></span></span>

    Caliber: 5.56mm
Barrel: 16.1" standard LWRC Nicorr profile barrel (NON SPIRAL FLUTED)
    Handguard: SPR modular handguard 12"
    Stock: SOPMOD
    Gas system: 2 position (normal/suppressed)
    Flash Hider: AAC 51T Blackout
    Grip: MIAD
Trigger: Geissele SSA 2 Stage Trigger
    LWRC skirmish iron sights

    <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">Changes I made:</span></span></span>

    1. Replaced SOPMOD with Magpul ACS
    2. Replaced AAC 51t blackout with YHM QD flash hider
    3. Added NF 2.5-10x32 mounted on a Larue SPR scope mount (LT158)
    4. Added Magpul BAD lever

    <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">Pros:</span></span></span>

    1. The ergonomics and feel of the 12" SPR forearm is second to none. "IMO"
    2. All the quality extras the rifle comes with from the factory. (geissele trigger, iron sights, and quality accessories)
    3. The ease of maitenance (it runs clean and cool)
    4. What cleaning???
    5. Sub MOA accuracy was achievable with quality match grade ammo.
    6. No gas in the face when shooting "suppressed".

    <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">Cons:</span></span></span>

The only thing I dislike so far is: there is a little free play between the upper/lower reciever. Also the dam thing weighs 9 lbs. the way it sits in the pictures with an empty magazine. (bathroom scale) Hopefully my scale is off, it sure doesn't feel that heavy. I am going to replace the NF scope with a Vortex PST 1-4 so that should shave a little weight.

    <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">There will be more to follow as soon as I get some more time behind the rifle.....stay tuned!!!!</span></span></span>

    Re: LWRC M6A5 "sneak peak"

Nice! Does it cycle in "suppressed" setting without the can on it? My A3 does, but my REPR does not - just wondered about the A5.

    Re: LWRC M6A5 "sneak peak"

Yes, it does cycle in suppressed mode with no can.

    Re: LWRC M6A5 "sneak peak"

Keep those videos coming man. Interested to see how she runs long term suppressed.

    Thanks for the post.

    Re: LWRC M6A5 "sneak peak"

You also need to note the "pros" of the rifle....

I'll get on that tomorrow, but the videos show plenty of the pros for now.......

    Re: LWRC M6A5 "sneak peak"

Very nice man, I am really jealous of the fact that you can own and use a suppressor, being in communist Ka us ordinary citizens really can not.

    Re: LWRC M6A5 "sneak peak"

I assume a YHM can? Which one?

I've got an M6A2 a 16" gun that I run with the YHM stainless Phantom. Way back when I bought my A2 I wanted the A3 but they were simply not available. Have always lamented not having the adjustable gas block.

Interested to see what your gun does on paper at 200, 300 etc.

Great videos! Thanks for taking the time and effort to produce and post them.

    "what cleaning?"

Haha... I hear ya there buddy. I enjoy my A3 as well.

Thanks for the update. The A5 SPR is a fine piece of kit... I want one!

    Re: LWRC M6A5 "sneak peak"

Yeah that's a damn nice setup!! Those are some great "factory" options built in.
How much did she cost you? What reticle does your NF have?

    Re: LWRC M6A5 "sneak peak"

A Battlecomp 1.0 muzzle brake arrived today, I will test the effectiveness soon.

Yes, I am going to run it suppressed most of the time. The reason I bought the muzzle brake is for 3 gun comps down the road.

YHM (the type of can I run) does not make a QD brake for my rifle only the QD flash hider.

I want to eliminate as much recoil and muzzle jump that I can for future comps.
