I am wandering. What max size barrel diameter will the Sako TRG-22 stock accept?

I have a heavy palma on one, however it had to be milled on to clear the TRG bipod. Standard palma requires no milling to clear the bipod.

I was wandering if it would accept a .93 would fit(Bartleins #7 MTU) in the channel? The muzzle is just a little bigger then the light Palma. Light Palma is .90 and the #7 MTU is .93 for Bartleins barrels.

A light Palma will be a lot lighter than an MTU. An MTU will be even heavier than a heavy Palma.

Here is a link to some APA has done. a few years back I saw a really sweet TRG APA rebarreled with a very heavy fluted braughton barrel. The stock was DE and the barrel coated something else also. I tried to find it, but no luck.

The barrel channel in the TRG stock will accept a very heavy barrel, over 1.25" straight, however if you go too much over a TRG countour, you won't be able to use the Sako accessories.

Thanks I will keep that in mind. I am wanting to do a heavy contour but not that heave. Barlein #7 MTU being the heaviest (1.25 down to .93).
