Remington Custom Shop TIR

Caught my eye at the local candy shop, anybody dance with one? Features a heavy straight-taper 20" barrel, HS Precision adjustable stock, AAC brake/suppressor adapter and strangely enough an Iron Brigade Armory picatinny rail. Question is, since Remington is Bushmaster (who at one time offered a similar rifle) and Iron Brigade has had dealings with Busmaster in the past, is the Remington Custom Shop offering a confluence of these 3 manufacturers? They are in fact made at the Remington's Custom Shop? Either way, a very robust and menacing looking handy package that l'm sure prints very well.

The Sniper's Hide Google search engine has been utilized and GAP and the other custom builders take too long as l want to rock 'n roll this summer....thanks!

I do know if you want a GA Precision just spend some time in the For Sale Section of this site and you will find one quickly. In fact I am sure there are some on there right now. You can also cal GA Precision and ask if they have any that are completed that are not spoken for as they have some on their site sometimes ready to go sometimes.

I agree completely, been stalking the For Sale section for some time now but as other members have pointed out, if one was to go with GAP or any other custom builder they would have it built specifically for them. I have been in contact with Ken at GA and we're working on a re-barrel, they are great people! Thanks for the reply, but l have the attention span of a lightning bolt and l'm looking for something l can have in hand within the next couple of weeks.

No personal experience with any of the Remington 40X Custom Shop rifles out there?

Iron Brigade Armory made all of the Remington Custom Shop Tactical Rifles for them up until this year. Now IBA's 2112 has left to go work at the Remington Custom Shop, so the Tac rifles are all made in Ilion, NY now. Buy the rifle, buy some Blackhills 175 ammo, go shoot one whole groups

My grandfather has a Remington custom shop 40x single shot 300win mag. It's probably almost 15 years old now. He just called last weekend to say the best group he can do is 1in. at 400. I thinks that's pretty damn good for aging eyes and a 300 without a muzzle brake. If I remember right, he special ordered his 40x and waited almost 9 months.

Where might you have seen it for that price? The shop l went to thinks they have the last one left in the world, priced at.......$3900!!!!

IBA does great work and makes a a super accurate rifle, but I would not pay $3900 for any rifle with a HS Precision stock. My money will always go to McMillan or Manners.
