In the process of building a tube gun. Pierce action elisio stock. Do I need a safety on a match only gun? Which trigger should I get for a match only gun? Some have said Jewells are to fragile? Are there others? If I decide I need a safety are there other brands with a bottom safety? What weight should it break at?
Thanks in advance,
T

Re: Triggers for a tube gun

I had a huber concepts two stage trigger with bottom safety. It would be absolutely perfect for a tubegun. When you say match, what kind are you talking about? Safety is a must on any kind of field type competition, but isn't necessary for a benchrest style match.

A jewel with safety, breaking at one pound would be my choice.

CG Jackson or Anschutz

I can't think of any with a bottom safety except the TRG triggers. That's a great trigger but I don't know if you could modify it to fit your Pierce action.

Re: Triggers for a tube gun

I use a jewel with a bottom safety on my eliseo tube gun. It's set at 8 ounces.
This is a F-class gun.
