Hogan .308 18" Hunter/Sniper Rail

I just got back a few days ago to my rifle. Hogan was nice enough to replace my full tactical rail for a hunter/sniper rail for free. Luckily, it comes with extra attachments for a bipod, a grip, and a sling/light/laser mount. I had to take the rail off in order to install the rails. I was shocked to see the rail was different from the POF rail and I am quite pleased at the aesthetic looks. The last photo is an HDR(high definition/resolution) photo I took.

Included in these photos I have:
Leupold Mark 4 3.5-10 40mm w/ M3
LaRue QD low mount
Atlas V8.1 Bipod
Troy flipup iron sights

nice setup, im not a fan of the look of that rail system, looks artsy fartsy to me, but seems functional enough

Although it isn't my style (prefer the HSR), the design is definitely unique. Does it weigh more or less than the HSR? Is it more ergonomic than the HSR?

The difference is that I can add the rails anywhere I want. As far as weight/ergonomics, i have no idea since I have not held the POF HSR.

I really like the "old" look. The newer rail looks better when on the rifle than just looking at the rail itself.

Would be nice if Hogan can get their website updated with pictures - hard to purchase something you can't even see

I like the way the old POF rail in your sig line looked better than this one but it's more about what you think is better and the way you will set it up. Only having rails where you want them is nice. It's a badass rifle no matter what rail you put on it. I liked seeing the parts that go into these guns when I took mine all the way apart a while back. POF designed a nice, tough system and Hogan did a good job machining them.

I'm glad you are back home and tinkering with your rifle Para. Been pretty lonely shooting the .50 cal off the helo and looking back to my right and not seeing you there. Ah how Afghanistan how spoiled me so. Too many green j's.

I like your new set up and the ability to add any rail segment where you need it. Saves weight. How is the dope going for you? Last I knew you were balls deep in the books.

I sunk money down on a blackout sbr and suppressor. Next year Para I will get my .308 and we can play tag. Stay safe.

Diggin that setup!

I really like the M4 3.5x10 atop of my POF.308. Your setup on your gun is very close to my P308.

Any info on that paint job would be appreciated. I'm looking at getting some of my guns done up.

Para you need to take that rifle to Bastion to provide over watch in the gun pattern,lol. That paint job is awesome and love the personal touch on the stock.
