I am planning on showing up with a buddy, this will the first match for both of us. Is there a caliber limit? I am member, he is not, is it still free for both of us? What gear do we need besides a rifle, ammo and ears? All the info you can send my way would be appreciated to those of you who shoot in these shin digs on a reg basis... Thanks amigos.

Loook forward to meeting you. We try to keep it under 3100fps to not beat up the steel, and 223's alright but the wind may wreak havoc at 700yds

Eyes are mandatory, ears recommended.

50 rounds, and a good zero, and anything else you may want to bring ( there's some good threads on whats recommended for matches).

I am going to try to get out there for the thursday practice shoot too, I should make it. No work that day so I am planning on being there. I look forward to getting out, I havent shot past 300 yards in a while so this could get interesting.

You'll dig it. Our club does is a no pressure match, we are all there to have fun a learn a few things. If you have any questions just ask.

I went out this AM to see what this match is all about. I'm a member at PRGC, but didn't know about these matches until last month when I bumped into Tim3gun and his wife at the range. It sure looked like a lot of fun this AM! Friendly folk, too. I'll fiddle with a rifle over the next few weeks, and plan to shoot with you in July.

Thanks, Tim and Gina, for taking the time to welcome a new guy! Anyone else in the area, you really ought to come out to one of these matches, too!

I want to thank Tim and Lowe and the rest of the crew for being very welcoming this morning and for teaching me some of the procedures as well as letting me assist in spotting some of the events. It was a pleasure to meet you guys! I just wish I could have stayed til the end, but one of my pups at home decided to scrap with a scorpion... I will be back next time though, hopefully on the line instead of in the bleachers!
