Gunsmithing DIY Bottom Metal R700 SA......?

Has anyone here made their own DBM for their Remington 700 SA? I'm trying to figure out what to do for the mag release mechanism. I don't know anyone who has one I can look at. I have most of it drawn up, but I don't exactly know yet how to design the mag well with the release. Thanks to anyone who can help me out with this.

I Made one for a Mauser K98,
It's more of an R&D project for now but function is 100% Using an AI mag.

Does anyone on here have an AICS .308 mag, that can measure the length and width of it for me?

The AICS magazine is tapered, so here are some rough measurements at the top of magazine around the feeding lips:

Front width - 0.845" -- Rear width -- 0.975"
Length -- 3.062"

Seems like a lot of work when PTG is offering bottom metal for $129(?).

Not saying what you're doing is not worth the effort, just that $129 seems cheap when you factor in time and materials to do it yourself (I still applaud you doing it though)...
