LMT MWS 16" CL,,, price?

Putting some serious thought into a LMT MWS 16"CL. .308 cal. What is a good out the door price today? Might be able to get one out the door for about $2700.. too much? what do you guys think. any help would be wonderful.


BTW, is the 16"cl is a HBAR correct?

When they came out they were retailing for 2300 and the stainless steel barreled model was 2800. Now it seems like 2500 is the starting price.

edit: The rifle itself is just under 10lbs and I would call the barrel a medium contour. Not Hbar but not light either.

If you are looking for a battle rifle sort of carbine it is a good buy. Feels as thought it is built like a brick shithouse and for a chrome lined barrel accuracy is very good. However if you are looking for a mainly target rifle and don't see yourself using the quick change barrel feature I would think about a custom rifle from a smith instead.

Ive seen them anywhere from 2300-2900 for the CL. I paid 2300 out the door with shipping for mine about 8 months ago. But I know they went up and are in High Demand now. I think there is a huge wait time too. But I would get one asap. I love mine so much I want to buy another.

Mine was $2700 OTD and considered myself lucky as I only had a 10 day wait.

Looked at getting one before I bought something else. Prices I saw on the 16 inch CL were in the $2650-$2900 range for places that actually claimed to have it in stock. if you could get it for $2700 OTD, go for it.

yeah, i just ordered mine on sunday from kentucky gun company... btw, they have 16" CL @ 2299 with free shipping. ... should be at my FFL thursday according to my ups tracking number.... looking forward to the new LMT!!
