Re: Smack the SMILEY - SPRING 2012 - ENTRY OPEN!

NOW you tell me!! Sorry about that, I'll do better next time!

Re: Smack the SMILEY - SPRING 2012 - ENTRY OPEN!

Shot my targets today and i must say, I suck. That was the worst i can remember shooting.

Re: Smack the SMILEY - SPRING 2012 - ENTRY OPEN!

Mine are on their way. I'll save you some time...a zero for the two targets.

Re: Smack the SMILEY - SPRING 2012 - ENTRY OPEN!

I need to start playing this one again. I got my .308 rebarreled and i have a new 40x to play with too

Re: Smack the SMILEY - SPRING 2012 - ENTRY OPEN!

Mine are in the mailbox - had to choose between bad and worse....

Nice Stag, JB! That country reminds me of ASC, very little level terrain.

Thanks,

Re: Smack the SMILEY - SPRING 2012 - ENTRY OPEN!

well the old lady for some reason thought my better target was trash and tossed it last week
frown.gif
(still wasnt very good)

so i sent my second target which was terrible

but thats means i can only improve

thanks for doing this, cant wait for the next one

Re: Smack the SMILEY - SPRING 2012 - ENTRY OPEN!

Bad and worse describes this go-round. Had a few accidents (my sports car was driven on by an explorer
mad.gif
, my truck plowed a deer
mad.gif
) and ran out of ammo that my kids rifle likes.

So, I sent my lottery tickets in!

Thanks for putting the match on, even if real-life messes everything up.

Re: Smack the SMILEY - SPRING 2012 - ENTRY OPEN!

Received my targets this past week and since I live 2 different places because of work, I got home Monday and found that they had to be post marked by the 29th. So I busted out with my 2 guns of choice, Savage 22 fvsr and my Rem 700 .243. I have a 50yd range in my back yard so I was able to shoot the rimfire target there and then flew over to the 100yd local range where I rushed through my centerfire target. I was very happy with the centerfire with no misses but a flyer on the 3 shot group. My rimfire was a different story with 2 misses and almost missed the confidence shot on the 1 inch circle blaaaaa. I then rushed to the post office and sent the 2 targets back. The weather was misty and slight 5-8 mph wind that did me in with the 22. This is definately a challenging match and tons of fun. I'll try and post pics.

Re: Smack the SMILEY - SPRING 2012 - ENTRY OPEN!

Well at this point, I am not sure if I am in or not. Shot up all my targets, took the best one (not great) and put it in a stamped and addressed envelope and placed on the counter so i would remember to mail it. Somehow I can't find it now, and my girl says she doesn't remember mailing it. I have looked everywhere, and I am hoping she picked it up with her outgoing stuff and put in the mailbox...I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Re: Smack the SMILEY - SPRING 2012 - RESULTS BELOW!

A big thanks to JB and all the great sponsors. I had a great time and won a prize too. Now if I can figure out why the 22's accuracy went to shit before the summer match I'll be set.

Re: Smack the SMILEY - SPRING 2012 - RESULTS BELOW!

Thank you to all the sponsors. This is a great match.

Re: Smack the SMILEY - SPRING 2012 - RESULTS BELOW!

Awesome! I'm relieved to see my target did get mailed somehow...absent minded as usual I suppose. I knew my score wasn't great, haven't had the time to practice my fundamentals like I should. Thanks again to Jason and all of the sponsors who made this possible and way to go supporting the cause!

Re: SPRING RESULTS

JB,
Thanks for continuing to put this on. Shooting this match helps me stay focused on fundamentals. I firmly believe that if you can’t shoot short range you are deluding yourself if you think you can shoot long range.

This spring there must have been crummy weather all over for a 220 to carry the center fire… I scrolled down through the archives & I think the last time 220 would have won was in 2005! Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good!
Cheers,
DC

Re: SPRING RESULTS

Another awesome match Jason, again it was fun to hang with the family and shoot, although we did not represent well!!! Maybe next time......I find I use that line a lot!!!
