Rock River Arms ATH Carbine

Re: Rock River Arms ATH Carbine

I got one about a year ago. I must say it is one of the most accurate rifles I have ever shot (and this includes my custom bolt gun). Pretty much all the handloads I tried shot .5 MOA or better. Most of the factory stuff shot well under and 1 MOA. Fit and finish is flawless and I have had zero malfunctions. The RRA national match trigger is very nice and the weight of the rifle is not too bad and it balances perfectly. (I added the PRS buttstock which made it a good bit heavier) This is one gun I will never sell for sure.

RRA makes an awesome gun.

Here is a 10 shot group at 100 yds with 55 grain sierra blitzking over benchmark powder. This thing hammers and these kinds of groups are very, very common out of this rig. This was actually two different loads, about .2 of a grain apart in charge weight.

Thanks Santee. I was thinking this thing looked pretty good. Those are outstanding results. Particularly with mixed ammo. I might have to pick up one of these. I too have had good luck with RRA. I appreciate your time.

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on this rifle. Any better builds for under a $1,000. Will be doing mostly 5-600 yard target shooting. I'm placing a premium on accuracy and they advertise it being .75 moa rifle.

Re: Rock River Arms ATH Carbine

I have shot three of the bunch we have for use on our farms. They are consistently accurate. I have not done any torture or serious reliability tests, but my experience with RRA has been excellent on other models as well.

My load is 24.0 of RL15 with a 77gr SMK. We have an IPSC target at 400 yds and on a calm day I can call out which eye I will hit...
