Ordered a couple of #4 stainless brux barrels from Bugholes, one in .224 and another in 6mm. My gunsmith scoped them and said he was impressed with the finish in the bore, and also checked them for straightness, said they were as close to perfect as he had seen.
Finally got around to shooting the 6mm, which is chambered in .243, and after a little load work, it has shot many 1/4" groups. A wet patch just glides down the bore, and after two patches, it was good to go. Sorry for the long winded post, just wanted to say thanks to brux, and to let folks know they seem to make some great barrels, another thanks to bugholes, its great to get a premium barrel in 4 days!

Re: Thumbs up for Brux barrels

This has been my experience with Brux so far. I just had a 243 chambered and got the same remarks from the 'smith.
Also, my shooting results are pretty much matching yours.
It isn't my first one though. I had one on a long range BR gun that shot very well too.
BTW, Bugholes is GTG.

Re: Thumbs up for Brux barrels

The 1/4" groups at 100 yards made me smile, but what really got my attention was the 5/8" groups at 300 and the 1.25" groups at 500 and the 2.5" groups at 750... I've got about 1800 rds. on my .260 now and have cleaned the barrel 3 times. I am extremely pleased with my Brux.

Re: Thumbs up for Brux barrels

That has been my experience as well, shot quite a few groups at 300 that measured well under an inch. Hoping my .223 AI with a 21" brux will do as well.

Re: Thumbs up for Brux barrels

Brux is good stuff. I have a few barrels from them and they have all been beyond exceptional as far the runout and the folks at Brux have always been helpful and on time. I dont think they have ever missed a delivery promise.

Re: Thumbs up for Brux barrels

We've used several of their 7mm barrels and love them.

Re: Thumbs up for Brux barrels

Picked a Brux for my 243 from SPR....Havent had the barrel put to use yet but I like what I am reading about it. I dont think Greg would sell anything but the best IMHO.

Re: Thumbs up for Brux barrels

I stuck a Brux on my Dad's 22BR a couple years ago. They told me when I ordered it, that if it didn't shoot, send it back. It's a hammer though and from what I've read, both before and since, every one has been a good one.
Wouldn't hesistate to use another one.

Re: Thumbs up for Brux barrels

brux is 1st class. never missed a delivery promise! Norm and the boys make one hell of an AR barrel too.

Another +1 for Brux. Easy to clean, accurate and reliable.
