There is no where in VA Beach to shoot besides C2 shooting center.
I travel to either Camp Butner (
www.northstateshootingclub.com) in NC or to Qantico (
www.quanticoshootingclub.com) in VA to shoot F-class.

Hmmmmm...actually there are some places to shoot, depending on what you are looking for and how flexible you are willing to be to get off your butt in order to get out and shoot
! Suggest you stop by the Norfolk County Rifle Range (NCRR) website here...
http://www.ncrr.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=13&Itemid=149 . They have a dedicated group of good guys that run regular long range matches for about 8-9 months of the year (Spring, Summer, and Fall) down at Academi (formerly known as Blackwater). They primarily run NRA x-course Hi Pwr Rifle matches, but they are having some discussions about starting up formal F-Class matches as well. I just shot a 1000yd match there this past weekend, and they are planning another one of those in September. They had a really strong turn out of shooters, so hopefully that event will continue to grow. Also, they will allow you to shoot any type rifle at the NRA x-course matches, and shoot the full course prone if you want just to encourage folks to get out and enjoy some shooting (can't beat that offer!). Those courses are shot at 200/300/600yds.
Feel free to drop me a PM if you have any questions about shooting any of the above, or about other shooting activity in the area. I've been involved with shooting in many different types of shooting sports around the Hampton Roads area the past several years, and if I have not shot in them all yet I can probably pass along some knowledge about what is available and where. The best way to get plugged in about what is happening is to attend some matches and start talking to other shooters who are usually happy to share what they know and happy to help a new shooter.
Best of luck
!
