All of their 308 rifles have been gone from their website for a few weeks now. Anyone heard anything?

Re: Did Noveske stop building the N6?

I heard they have stopped production to concentrate on 556 and the 300Blk. I heard they are also revamping their 308 lineup and it will be coming back but it may be awhile.

They're focusing on the 5.56 lineup right now and expect to restart production of the N6 rifles late this year.

Ahh. Makes sense. The 300 BLK is all the rage right now. Thanks.

Personally I speculate they're waiting on Armalite to supply them with all the ar10a lowers they can so they can sell a weapon that can take 308 pmags. I'm sure that hurt sales, using the ar10 mags. I know thats why I didnt get that pattern

I think that is the major drawback to the armalite patter of ar308. The magazine cost and availability. But the ar10a solves that, which is great.

This is purely speculative on my part.

I said the same thing last time this came up.

Horse pucky. ArmaLite Gen II mags are only a few dollars more than Pmags. Go price a quality metal SR25 mag. 2-3 times as much as the ArmaLite mags. With a $2500+ rifle I don't quibble over a $20-30 difference in magazine cost.

You get what you pay for with the N6, a superb 7.62 AR.

Noveske is filling back orders on the small AR's the N6 well be back. Probably in SR25 form using the new ArmaLite AR-10A receiver/parts.

Re: Did Noveske stop building the N6?

Umm...308 pmags are only like $17. And I'm pretty sure their quality is well known. Not only that but magazines should be considered consumables that will break and should be discarded. If I want to buy 10 magazines, $170 is a lot more appealing than $400

    Gen 2 Ar10 $40 (damn $50 from "warehouse D")

Pmag $20 (sorry, $17 with mil discount)

And I never said the N6 wasn't good. I have a Noveske barrel in my MaTen and I love it. No one is questioning Noveskes quality.

But one cannot ignore the fact that there are very very few mfgers of AR10 pattern rifles. The vast majority of ar308 mfgers out there are making DPMS pattern rifles. And now, just this year, even armalite stopped making ar10 mag compatible rifles making PMAG compatible rifle instead. This isn't a coincidence.

I think Noveske doesn't want to release any product that is not 100% great. So they are holding off on making any rifles with this now obsolete lower. They will let the ar10a be fielded for a while to let it go through its growing pains that comes with any new product, and once its @ 100% I bet we will see N6A's coming out.

But I will agree that Noveske is filling back orders like crazy. You can't get a Noveske anything right now. The fury over their products makes me wonder if they were either on some gun show or if they were reviewed in some popular gun rag lately.

Re: Did Noveske stop building the N6?

I don't think Armalite stopped producing the traditional AR-10 style lowers outright, rather added the 10A as an additional option.

I think you're right Snake, my mistake
