Looking for a spotting scope for sight ins at the bench, not for hunting or mobil or tactical spotting. Just want to be able to sight in the rifles at the ranch to 2-300yds with a $300 beater spotting scope that works well. I have one that does not work well.

Been looking at

The Alpen 788 - 20x - 60x Zoom
Celestron Regal 65 F-ED - 16x - 48x Zoom
Nikon ProStaff Angled 65 - 16x - 48x Zoom
Barska
Weaver

Any suggestions? Thanks

A lot of Konus owners love their spotters.

Take a look at Konus. I just picked up a Konuspot 80 off of Craigslist for $125. I think they retail around $225. Haven't had a chance to take it to the range but it looks good so far.

love my Prostaff angled 65, the Alpen is a decent kit for the money though. We just got Kowa so Ill be looking soon.

I been thinking about getting the Redfield Rampage 20-60x80 Angled Spotting Scope. Leupold took over Redfield about 2 years ago.

I called Leupold today and they said it was as good of quality of the Leupold 20-60x80 SX1 Ventana they produce but at a cheaper cost.

I just bought a Redfield Rampage 20-60x80 Angled Spotting Scope from Optics Planet for $249.99 ($279.99 less the $30 off special Optics Planet was currently having at the time).

Once I get and use it for a while I'll post what I think of it.
