Does anyone know if the Seekins MCSR hanguard will work with a standard upper receiver or do you have to use one of his?

This is the handguard I'm looking at

Re: Seekins MCSR handguard question

From them man himself! Thanks. I assume it comes with a barrel nut and the bolts to attach the handguard. All my ar's have the BAR handguards and love them, but I don't need rails for this build. Is there any weight difference in the BAR rails and this MCSR?

Re: Seekins MCSR handguard question

MCSR is way way lighter and super comfy. I need to measure them and see exactly, but it is very noticeable.

Huston armory and primary arms both say they are in stock. Also, you might check out the new vendor here. Hells Canyon Armory

What's the inside diameter at the muzzle end?

Re: Seekins MCSR handguard question

I believe 1.8". I'm going to build a 300 blackout with it so my suppressor will fit inside.

Re: Seekins MCSR handguard question

That's the direction I am headed as well...

What about the SP^3R?

Re: Seekins MCSR handguard question

The SP3R has a barrel nut that you can time perfectly with a conventional format receiver and the shims Seekins includes with the package.

Here is a conventional format Seekins receiver with one of their MCSR forends:

I prefer to build with their dedicated IRMT uppers:
