looks like a solid rig, hats off for painting the scope, Since i am just a recreational shooter/hunter i don't think i will ever have the balls to paint a nice scope as it kills resale.

Yea i find it funny that we spend thousands of dollars on our equipment, then spray it down with 3$ paint. I don't care though I love it.

not bad at all, a little subdued but still pretty good, congrats on having the balls to paint the scope too.

the pattern is quite a bit more prominent in person. Kinda looks light in the pic. The thing shoots good so far, but I've only had time to shoot 20 federal factory loads. needless to say I've got a lot of loading/shooting to do till its impressive.

Sweet rig man! Good looking camp job as well. Why is painting the scope such a hard decision? Acetone will take it right off if its krylon and won't hurt the lenses?

the only place I've found around here is c2. the way i paint is just spray everything down real good with brake and parts cleaner. then spray away. i let it dry for a few weeks in the sun till i will use it hard and it usually holds up pretty well. i kinda like when my rifles look beat to shit though. gives em character.

if ur asking how i did this pattern its ez i just use khaki, dark brown, and brown. i paint the rifle khaki and then use strait edges to make a bunch of harsh lines in brown and dark brown, then subdue them with khaki. about 3 times total and heres what you get.
