Anyone who has ordered from southwestammunition.com, about how long does it usually take your order to be processed and shipped?

I placed an order on the 16th and haven't received any info other than an order confirmation and it says it's processing, I just wanted to see if this is normal for this seller as usually my orders from other places are shipped the day of or after they are placed.

My order of some 308 was shipped in a day and arrived in a few days.
Could be that it was already built and ready to go but it was as fast anywhere I have dealt with.

We do take longer than the huge companies. I really dislike the comparison as we sale direct to the public. The bigger companies sell to retailers and distributes only. Those retailers depending on their size have to wait long periods to get product to sale to the public. It is easier that way but you have to start from somewhere. In most cases patients is rewarded. We never intend to rip people off and all orders will be shipped to the best of our abilities. We enjoy this stuff and it keeps our wives from giving us crap about how much we spend doing this awesome sport of shooting shit. There has been a reason why we have not trafficked our products in other locations. The Hide is where we started and so far has been the best group of individuals we have dealt with. Most understand and are awesome to meet over the phone. We are handicapped due to the fact that we did not have tons on money to start this business. We are very personable people who want to make great products for others, and to meet and learn from others as well.

Definitely didn't mean to cause any offense to you all over at SWA, I was just hoping there was no issue with my order.

A quick friendly call over to the company and they explained that the orders are up right now and they're trying to get things taken care of quick as they can. I'm glad to hear that you are doing good business over there, hopefully that means the low prices can continue

I was told they'd try to get my ammo shipped out today or tomorrow and hopefully when it gets here I can go try it out and give a little report on it.

It's pretty good IMO. I ordered some 300blk on this Tuesday and just recieved a tracking number about 20 minutes ago.

SWAmmo is great. I won't buy ammo anywhere else. Their stuff has shot the lights out in my setup. I'm gona make another order next week.

I called them 5 days before a match for 500 rounds of .308 and they didn't disapoint. Thay have my business. I also shoot the 77gr run and gun and it shoots light out.

I admit I worried a bit about an order several months ago, but only because it was my first order from SWA and it didn't ship immediately. It showed up a few days later with an extra box of ammo thrown in for the delay. I reload most of my ammo but when I do buy 'store-bought', SWA is now my first choice. It shoots great in my guns.

I am just wondering if the ammo I ordered was actually in stock when I ordered it. It said in stock but now is saying there is a 3 week wait for this item and it is in stock (77 grain run n gun). The order status still says pending.

I know I can call down there but I HATE bothering people.

Zack and Mike at southwest ammo are top notch. So is there product and CS. If you are not happy with anything from SWA well you did something out of the ordinary.

I have bought from SW Ammo several times, totalling over 1000 rounds of match .308 over the last year.

Sometimes it showed up immediately, sometimes it took a couple of weeks, but every time it shot lights out

</div></div> It is no bother, it is normal to want to know what is going on when you pay for something. Stuff is in stock, we just try to make orders as ordered to keep lot integrity. We did have an issue with our run and gun 5.56. I opened the product for a customer who did not mind the wait and the webstore did allow others to order afterwards. We are still filling those orders with new brass instead of the pulldown to keep ship times to a minimum. We will get this down soon.

I was worried at first about ship times and just how it would shoot as i have only shot my handloads. They stopped both of my worries. Ship times was a week or so which doesn bother me and accuracy was awesome. So thank you sw ammo. Ive got an order in right now.

No. You are not alone. I think "In Stock" just means they have the components to load it and not that it is loaded and ready to ship.

Mine should be getting to my place today, but I'll have to pick it up later because I won't be home. But to answer the question, they did get it shipped out, just took a little while. Hopefully after I get my .308 repaired/replaced I can start trying it out

I ordered 200 rounds of 220 gr .300 WIN MAG a few days ago. My first order with Southwest Ammo. Can't wait to get it.


But I hope I can change my shipping address...cause I'm moving the first of August...which is around the time the ammo is supposed to ship. I'll call sometime after the holiday.

Got my ammo today, it looks great. Gave it a thorough looking over and everything is very uniform. I wish I had known they come in 50 rnd boxes though, because only ordering 80 left me with one box partially filled! lol

I get to go shoot them this weekend, I look forward to seeing the quality everyone raves about.

Finally got out to shoot it today, put out about 20 shots and all my groups were pretty similar except the cold bore shot.

Here's one of them: 100yd, 3 shots, .7 inch center to center

Do people usually have more success with the SMK over the AMAX?

Remington 700 Sps tactical in an AICS. It's a 1:12 twist 20 inch barrel. The reason I chose the AMAX was because they shot much better out of my rifle than SMK before, but today at longer range the SMK out performed the AMAX. (Longer range being not really long range lol)

I enjoyed shooting the AMAX and the results I got, I'm just wondering if SMK's would be recommended to try as well. Thanks for the personal reply btw

I have had several students use SW Ammo's 308 and it has done extremely well, even out of a few AR platforms. Keep up the good work!!

Got my order of 260 with the 123 Lapua last week. I was out of town all week so I haven't gotten to try it out but it sure looks good. I like the packaging they use.

We are behind right now, we have ordered some new bigger machines to make up for the demand. We thank you all for your patience with us.

308 is our best seller and looking like early next week for long wait orders.

5.56 is our second best seller or tied for first. I guess it would be more due to more per box. 2 weeks out on orders waiting.

260 will be caught up by the end of this week.

45 acp will also be caught up by the end of this week.

Pm us for any questions, we have scheduled time in the day to answer all pm's. Every morning and late evening before we leave, some will get answered during lunch.

Communication from here on out will be our main focus.

Please pm us if you have a match or a class and we will figure a way to get you your ammo to you in time.

Once again we are great-full for the customers we have and we are trying very hard to get caught up. We are getting more dealers everyday and some Police departments.

We might have our own head stamp brass in a few months, we are very excited for that.

It's getting a bit ridiculous. Order placed end of May. Shipping label created over two weeks ago, but still no movement or update on the order actually shipping. Two email responses stating they will look into it "In the morning" yet two weeks post emails with no update or explanation.

Sounds like they make good ammo, but their quick success is also their customer service downfall. This was my first order with them and probably my last.

I have to admit that I was nervous making my first order, as I waited a few months for it to arrive without responses from my email and PM. But once I received the ammo, I could not be happier, high quality match grade ammo with great bullet concentricity and consistency.

Leave them alone and don't bog them done with calls. You will get your order.

SW ammo is GTG. I'm glad to support an American privately owned small business.

And if you have a hard deadline, and let them know, they will make sure you have your ammo when you leave for the match. Just be reasonable about ordering ahead of time.

I hear ya, and don't mind the wait. But I don't like being told things that are not true. I like to be informed. It's as simple as that.

Exactly.

I reload and have plenty of my own stock. Was just wanting to try some of this ammo for back up purposes, so I'm not in dire need. But I expect to be kept informed of my purchases. Shit happens - I understand that, but let me know!

SWFA is pulling the same crap with me right now and I'm just getting sick of it. I've run a successful business for over 20 years that's heavily customer service oriented. There are true gems in the bunch, but overall the gun industry could use some serious help.
