Ok I have wanted to step it up from my 308 for some time and now is the time.I've got it narrowed down to three rifles a noreen, vulcan, or a savage 338. I'm currently leaning more to the savage because a few different reasons. So I'm throwing it out there what are the thoughts.

Re: The choice is narrowed

I have the Savage 110 BA in .338lm and really love the gun - and the price. The Savage110 is a great gun and it is starting to gain a following. I know of 2 other shooters at one of the range with BAs. For the money, I don't think there is much out there that can match it.

What is the Vulcan? It is from Anzio Iron Works?

If you are talking about the Noreen "Bad News" semi-auto, that is a different league and is priced substantially more - like 2 1/2 times more. It's a cool weapon and would like to have one. Don't know personally of anyone who has shot it.

No if I get the noreen I'm going for the bolt. They have it in a few different choices I would love the 408 option but I have heard that ammo is $$$$ and hard to get even if you reload.

And this is the link for the vulcan

I'm so far liking the 110ba because I've herd everyone that has one say they really like them and have been more than happy and I just haven't herd anything about the other two as far as first hand reviews go.
