Hell
Ok so a few people asked me to upload these. this is my 71 bronco i've been working on. the body i had on it needed some drastic rust repair and had a lot of fiberglass panels, well i wanted a solid driver and not just a crawler so i bought a entirely new metal body and a new frame had everything taken to metal, painted and as you see its coming along well. doin a minor build on the 351 i have in it later this year along with a 4-link rear and a few other things. the rest of my drivetrain, cage and everything else will come over from my current rig. anyways here is the build thread if you want to read more about it.

Re: My bronco project

I had two in high school. Sure miss them old Broncos. Looks like yours will be a winner when it is done. Doing it right.

Re: My bronco project

Looking good, have you decided on a color. I miss my 69 Bronoco, it was original with only 56,000 miles on it when I bought it in 1999. I should have never sold it.

Re: My bronco project

look at the rest of the pics its painted a dark silver

Re: My bronco project

lol, whats up dude. yeah i'm a regular fixture over here.

Re: My bronco project

Man that brings back so many memories!!
I had a 69 bronco that I sold when my son was born....that is awesome

Re: My bronco project

i have always loved them and put off buying one for YEARS, finally i just said screw it and sold my tundra and bought the bronco and jumped into this adventure of building my ideal truck. don't regret a single dollar. it will be a unique truck that is SO much cooler then a new jeep.

Re: My bronco project

Bronco Looks great.Looks like a lot of hard work. But worth every bit of it.

Re: My bronco project

man, that is just plain sexy! I tried to stop going to CB, because I can only afford one expensive hobby at a time, but man, now seeing it here

Re: My bronco project

sweet rig are you going rag top? these were all the rage where i lived in wyoming. it is amazing what they are selling for. had to settle for a 94

Re: My bronco project

Joe, looks like you got them loaded! It looks like it is starting to come together for you. Paint looks great, now only wiring, drivetrain, interior, ect. Bronco looks great, I have always favored the older ones.

Re: My bronco project

Very nice!
My first vehicle "I" ever owned was a 74 Ford Bronco. I still own it and it has been with a guy getting worked on for about 1 1/2 years now.

Re: My bronco project

yeah if you guys want to see it i'll post more as it comes along. drivetrain is 351W, d44, c4 w/ d20, and ford 9". disk front brakes, power brakes, power steering. if you check out my link to my build page there is plenty more info. i might go soft top while i'm still in socal but i really want to get a hardtop finished up before i head up north in a couple years.

Re: My bronco project

nice!

what year Tundra did you sell?

I too have a Tundra, and want to re-build my 50 Chevy (original and staying original).

Re: My bronco project

just a 2001 TRD, was a AWESOME truck just didnt' have any emotional attachment to it. I love my bronco and my other truck is my first truck that was a gift from my grandfather (64 c10) so now i have a emotional attachment to both. easier to justify spending money

Re: My bronco project

cool.

My TRD is 2004, 78K so just broke in.

Been told the 50 is a 20-30K project....

Re: My bronco project

yep sounds about right, i figure i'll have about 20-30k in my chevy by the time i'm done

Re: My bronco project

That's looking great Joe. I'm a fan of those old Broncos. Do you plan on going to Moab, Utah this year? I know a few guys from San Diego 4-Wheelers that are going.

Re: My bronco project

I doubt it will be done by then I got a ways to go. Would have to sell half my safe to pay for it

Re: My bronco project

Awsome build, I have a 1970 f-250 rock truck.

Re: My bronco project

Nice. I have a '69 I have rat holed. Desert truck, no rust, v-8, red on white, needs total restore. You said it, expensive hobby. I just don't have the money now, but it is not going anywhere. In 5 years the kids will be getting out of the house, then I will start. One of my boys may want to tackle it, but they just don't seem to have the interest now. Keep up the good work.

Re: My bronco project

goin to order a pan and stuff next month, when done it will be a 500hp 393 stroker. should be fun

with a 64 c10 waiting behind it in line for work. i'm a absolute gear head. its guns and cars 24/7 when i'm not busy at work.

so what i got waiting is:

fully built 393 stroker (351w)
built 700r4
atlas transfer case and adapter kit
full hydroboost
saginaw sterring setup
3g alternator
new starter
all new seals
auto meter gauges
blank dash
ARB's front and rear
winters shifter

buying soon:
4.88 gears
RCV axles and high steer for up front
4350 axles out back
walker evans beadlocks
master craft seats
fox shocks and bumpstops
bumpers
warn winch
Holley EFI eventually

will be rolling on 37's for now but probably end up on new 38's

Looks awesome Joe, If your going to drive this on the street I would stick w/ 37's. Anything over that on that small of a wheelbase would be too much, and suck some fuel at the same time. Keep the pics coming, looks awesome and the parts listed are top notch!

Ok yeah my parts piles is getting a little excessive. Its almost time to start assembling. Motor should be here hopefully in the next week, then its trans crossmember time. More parts hopefully ordered in the next couple weeks.

waiting on the last 3 gauges to get here from summit
