Re: DBAL-D2

I dont know brother. I am currently at 14 months of what will likely prove to be a 20 month wait for a Surefire 762SS can. I knew I was going to wait but I didnt think it would be damn near 2 years. Shitty thing is I am waiting on a d2 also

Re: DBAL-D2

Any update on these from any of the vendors?
Will we see them before the end of the year?
Do we know what the issues are for the delay?

Just got some hard news, limited production and there will not be enough to fill the orders in now from all the preorders . There will be a hand full sent out to dealers. The rest may be ready by mid July 2012 was told with Fingers crosed.

Re: DBAL-D2

Frankie thanks for posting the update. I am concerned as to why the delay and limited roll out. If anyone knows anything I would appreciate your input.

Re: DBAL-D2

Good to hear, thanks for the update Victor.

I am still interested to know what was the cause of the delay. If anyone has some information it would be appreciated. I am looking to purchase two of these units and I am concerned of any issues that may have contributed to the delay.

Re: DBAL-D2

We sent out all we got in last week.If you have not been contacted please be patient your number has not come up yet . As they come in we are shipping them . Tan was delayed and will be coming soon .

Evan after the first fiasco back in the day with the legal units that where underpowered and killed batterys ..we never offer or sold them and for good reasons and unfortunately Our voice was small at that time . LDI not a company that goes in circles adapted modified and overcame the the problem and fixed them. Summit/LDI made sure D2 didn't have any issue if possible, QC is tight with Suimmit heading this up quality is at the highest standards . The DbalD2 is so close to what the FDA would legally allow I am sure there where a lot of red tape that had to be just right to allow these to go forth .newly added features to the D2 , Red dot mount machined into the body, dehorned and fluted the body for additional weight saveings .the controls
Now allow constant on option and you can change between functions on the fly without it powering down between function changes ..These are over the top !

I will post pics of the unit today after I catch some sleep , I have not had time to do much after working 15 hours a day in the new shop .
