If you want to go shoot one I am sure you would be more than welcome to, but if you want to own one, no IL does not allow private ownership of any NFA items.

We would love to have you from Illinois. Plenty of demo guns are available.

I am just guessing that he means they do not have a big name corporate sponsor putting on the thing, nor thousands of people showing up, so not a lot of vendors feel it is the best resourse to do product demos. I would love to attend, but too many miles and not enough vacation to go to all events.

Unlike the other large suppressor shoots. Mine is a midwestern grass roots fun shoot. Last year we had about 300 attendees and this year we hope for 300-500. ANY manufacturer may come for FREE. I send invites to several MOST of which never acknowledge my invite. So bash Gemtech if you will, but they show up, they bring lots of cool shit, and they bring free ammo for their Hoosier fan base. So just because a certain percentage of people don't like them for some misguided reasons is no reason for me not to associate with them. Yes, I consider the guys at Gemtech to be buddies. As well as the guys from Liberty, Thompson Machine, Huntertown Arms. We have a great time on this weekend, with no one pissing and moaning about who has the better product....it's just fun and testing.

Last minute notes!!!




*Per the MCF&G Board of Directors, MCF&G is closed to all persons on Saturday Aug 4, 2012 except those attending the Hush Indiana Suppressor Shoot, INCLUDING MCF&G MEMBERS. Per the MCF&G Board of directors, MCF&G members are required to pay entrance fees and SHOOTING FEES.




*PARKING LOT will open to the public at 9AM.




*GATES will open to the public at 930AM.



*LINE IS HOT at 10AM.




*LINE WILL GO COLD at 11am, 12 Noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm. for a maxium 5 minutes for target posting and steel target placements. If it doesn't need to stay cold for 5 minutes IT WILL GO HOT.




*DOOR PRIZE Drawings will be drawn at 430PM.




*GROUNDS will close to the public at 515PM.




*PARKING LOT will close to the public at 545PM.




Shooters, don't forget that like last year you are allowed to bring "SAFE" steel targets and paper targets/frames. I am sure vendors will be selling both but you are welcome to bring your own. With that said I can't promise you won't be drawing fire from who knows where on your steel, but range officers will strive to make sure that cross range shots are not happening.


Also, don't forget that coolers are welcome. We are still very unclear on a food vendor, but water and other drinks will be available for sale with 100% of the profits going to a local 4H Shooting Sports organization.

Damn, I wish this event were going on three weeks from now. I'll be in Indiana for work for a month and would definitely attend. It looks like a hell of a good time.
