I hope this is the right section to ask, so here it goes. Today I was taking pieces of rail on and off and I stripped one of the little button head allen screws. It seemed to round out the hole pretty easily. So now I either have to take a Dremel to the screw and potentially mess up the rail section or use an extractor to take out the bad screw. What I am asking is has anyone else had problems with these screws? I am thinking about switching over all the screws on the gun to something else, like a flat slot. They seem to be very easily damaged and I would hate to have a problem out in the field with it.

Re: LWRC REPR screws

Yes, they suck. They are also coated in thread lock before they are installed. I sent my upper back to LWRC to remove mine when stripped...right before I happily sold the rifle.

You were not happy with the rifle? What did you buy instead? What didnt you like about it?

Re: LWRC REPR screws

Great idea, nice machining...performance never lived up to expectations. Bought NOTHING instead. Gas guns add nothing to my game (YMMV).

Re: LWRC REPR screws

I have a stripped screw on mine but it's covered by the rail section and VFG. But yes they do suck, the new ones in the SPR rail are way better.

Never got good at the Ninja roll required when you own a REPR. JDM.

Re: LWRC REPR screws

I've yet to ask if they can send me a pack of the new hex screws.

Re: LWRC REPR screws

I am going to call beginning next week and see what they can do for me. I dont mind buying different screws or what not to not have this problem again.

Re: LWRC REPR screws

Had a similar issue and called LWRC and they sent my a nice baggie of new screws... Can't hurt to ask them for some little screw for as much as the REPR costs....
